First of all Im massivly chuffed with this signing massivly pacey and looks like a brilliant passer, but it also worries me for a few reasons.
It seems with the policy cashley is opperating its one in one out
    ie
    Nolan:Cabeye (good imo)
Best/Ranger:BA (again not terrible but would like to keep best)
so the question is, is jonas leaving? Surely a player of Marveaux's quality will putting him under pressure on the left and i'm sure neither will be content to bench warm?
Futhermore does it mean we've lost out on the likes of Barnetta and Nzog who are two wingers I'd rate above Marveaux?
Hopefully Pardew signs more than the six players he promised (unlikely I know)
but I'm guessing they will be taylor, Erdinc and Long?

Well he has come on a free so money hopefully will still be there for Zog who i would prefer to play on the right hand side and see him cut in alot more. Jonas if he stays has finally got a natural left side midfielder to give him some real compitition, that can only be a good thing for us. I dont really know enough about Marveaux to comment on weather he is going to prove better or worse than Zog but time will tell now!!

Marveaux can play anywhere across the midfield and so can Zogs. Jonas is also equally capable on the right so I reckon between the three of them they'll get enough game time to keep them happy. I'd be gutted to see Jonas leave, he gets some stick but he a consistent thorn in the side of anyone he's playing against and creates so much space for the likes of Nolan (not any more) as two or three defenders are often drawn in to deal with his runs.

Great signing on a free. HWTL!

As a Chelsea fan i see your squad looking much better than it did at the beginning of last season

Carroll, Nolan, Enrique, Gutierrez and Barton might all go

But in the last year Tiote, Ben Arfa, Ba, Marveaux and Cabaye have been or look good sgnings

Barnetta, Nzogbia and Long would add much needed depth and will Ameobi be happy playing 3rd fiddle

Can Marveaux play LB, im sure he can

Only downside is youve just signed 2 players who in the last 6/7 months have failed medicals at other premier league clubs, hope all works out for you

  9. Marvuex didn't fail a medical, Liverpool just didn't want to pay his wages after he showed signs of a groin injury.

We changed personal terms on Thursday night, which is when the deal stumbled. He did pass his medical, but personal terms weren't agreed. Therefore he went to you yesterday where he passed a medical and agreed terms with you.

Anyone worried that we havn't spent any money yet, apart from the Cabaye signing which the money was recouped through Nolan..?

Hopefully. I really think at least one signing £10m+ would give us a really great squad, on the attacking front at least.

A good player, but I prefer Jonas and can't see where Marveaux will play. Is Jonas on his way out? That would see Ashley making more profit, which could go up even further if we replace Enrique with Taylor. I'm pleased with the players we've signed so far, but once again the gloss is being taken off everything by not being able to trust the greedy, hateful bastard who owns the club. I wish he'd **** off.
