Disappointing result today but sounded like Rovers were the better team..

    Look forward to your reports..

I was waiting for them to score today if I am honest. I think we got a bit battered.

    gashead in peace <ok>

have to say we fully deserved it. we dominated in large spells and it was typical that we had several chances in quick succession to get our 2nd goal but didnt take the chances and you ended up scoring immediately after. thats been the story of our season. usually though our heads then drop and we give the game away and i thought that would be the case today as well as you scored at the worse time just before half time. however to my surprise we went for it in the 2nd half and got the break through. last 10 mins i was very worried as you pushed up to get back into the game but apart from 1 chance that our keeper made a world class save, you looked like you ran out of ideas when you got to the final 3rd. our defence had you covered and our 2 holding midfielders won every battle.

your recent form shows you will be around the play offs so take this game on the chin and bounce straight back up <ok> if you dont we are on a good run ourselves and may make a late bid for the run in.

Somebody will make a sprint for the line Captain and it won't be Exeter or Torquay so if not us then it might as well be you. It did sound like a mullering today to be fair so no complaints. Looking at the other results it didn;t actually do us much damage either as long as we don't make a habit of it. Best of luck for the rest of the season and who knows maybe we will see you at Wembley next time.....

i wish! but to be honest we have no chance. my feet are firmly on the ground. we have the worst away record in the league. you cant get to the play offs with that record. i think 66/67 points will be needed to get 7th and that means we need 24/25 points from 36 that is left available. too much to ask in my opinion <ok> i think it will be out of york, yourself and maybe hartlepool who will really push southend. if newport win their games in hand then add them to that list.

what do you think about torquay? they must be down now surely!

I feel gutted for them if honest Captain Jack. It's a small club that does well to even be in the football league if size matters but it is a Devon club and we need all the teams we can get in this neck of the woods. Even Exeter.... With all the travelling we do it is nice to have an extra local derby for the fans if nothing else. I fear though that Torquay will be a bit of a yoyo in and out of the league and even Exeter might follow that as well. I think Torquay are screwed already and if Northampton finally get their act together it could conceivably be a Devon double.

It does seem that Berry & Parsons our successful wing backs of late were snuffed out....Rovers having done their homework.

Maybe Wotton had played a game too many on the trot.....he is getting on now and recovery time becomes a problem.....I notice it myself just cutting the grass.

Cole seemed to have made too very good saves yesterday to stem Rovers flow.....but there are concerns always when he needs to come for crosses.....does that alter the back fours approach to defending crosses ?.....a confidence thing that can rub off on others.

Give Sheridan credit ....he went for it with three attacking substitutes....even though Rovers were in the ascendency for most of the second half.

Even a point yesterday would of been great seeing those just above all faltered as well.

The visit to Wycombe on Tuesday is now more important....and a win would rebuild the teams confidence.....remember we do have a game in hand to leap frog into the play-offs.

PS.....I've just noticed that Wycombe are unbeaten in their last six games......accumulating twelve points.....including a win over Chesterfield.....it just might be our bad luck to have two successive away games against present form teams.

I would disagree with anyone who says that Plymouth were poor yesterday. I thought they looked a strong side but there's no question that Rovers deserved to win

What I will say is that you can see why Plymouth haven't conceded many goals this season. Trotman's a wonderful lynchpin and he and his teammates are very prepared to put their bodies on the line at every opportunity.

Thanks for your opinion,......exiles like myself might only go to the odd game around the London area....so to hear a non-green army comment that isn't trashing us when we lose is good....having scored eleven goals in our last three games (two away) the fans can get carried away.... so losing yesterday got a bit of stick....memories of the last five horrific years....championship to nearly the conference...via administration is hard to wash away....so thanks.

Go on admit it A Matter of Time, you are just bigging the Gas up aren't you? If you say we were pants then it means you beat a load of tossers rather than put on a good display.

I didn't go but those that did who have reported back say we didn't do well. However, sometimes you can only be as good as you are allowed to be on the day. Yesterday we were maybe only allowed to be poorish. I do agree we have improved hugely as the season has gone on but this league is a bit on the dreadful side all around isn't it.

    Very much as reported:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=139fTpLEJxY

    1) A pitch unfit to play football on
    2) Poor defending for the first goal: Berry or Wotton to blame?
    3) Where was Cole for the second? Waving at it isn't much good is it?
    4) Two good chances missed in the dying moments.

I must admit Cole would have been at home in the 1920's........a right flapper.
