I don't know. In theory it should be 40 mil going by the fact we had about 20 mil per window and didn't spend a penny in jan
Dont think we will spent £80m including player sales. I think £50m including any kind of player sales. I am hoping something along the line of two £20m players and one £10m player
Never said that. Johnson is also good enough but he doesn't give a **** so **** him. Despite improving game by game, Cissokho isn't good enough and it would take him four season to get near to being good enough. I do think Flanno and Enrique are good enough but we need more depth / options.
Surely it depends on out goings? For example, our budget could be boosted by £100m should Real or Barca decide to cough up for Luis Suarez!
We can't spend too much, regardless of CL, because of our losses the last two seasons. Our figures have been steadily improving, although still coming up with a loss, and FSG have remained committed to backing us with 20mill or so each window. CL football is what, another 25/30mill maybe, plus the bumper new TV deal money (I think 60 mill for even the relegated clubs, up to 100mill for the title winner) so you're looking at maybe 100mill from those two. If I were a betting man, and we got into the CL this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see 50mill worth of new players, but at the expense of a few sales. It's a great opportunity to boost the squad but also take huge strides into clearing some more debt. Maybe two 20mills and a 10mill player.
Think it depends. Put it this way, we NEED a new CB, new CM, new full back. We'd also like a new attacking player who is versatile and can play across front 3. I don't think BR will be given £50m to go spend how he pleases, it doesn't work like that. They'll have targets and if they can get those 3 positions for £20m then they'll do it. If it costs more then the'll do that (assuming we aren't talking silly money). If you then say Reina, one of Agger/Skrtel and possibly Aspas are sold to generate an extra £15m+
No way we'll sign a CB without off loading first anyway. We already have Sakho, Agger, Skrtel, Toure, Ilori, Wisdom, Coates and Kelly if you count him as a CB.
Well I think Ilori will prob be out on loan. Coates and one of Agger/Skrtel will be sold and Kelly probably doesn't have a future there. Leaves Sakho one of Agger/Skrtel and Toure as players that have real Prem experience. I wouldn't be happy if they were our senior defensive options
Rumour one Liverpool have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Danish wonderkid Viktor Fischer from Ajax at the end of the season. Fischer has fallen down the pecking order at the Dutch club, which could make it easier to sign him. A fee of £15m would be enough to tempt Ajax to sell him. Source: Metro Rumour two Italian winger Alessio Cerci is supposedly a target for a number of English clubs, including the Reds. Cerci has impressed for Torino this season, scoring 11 goals, and has attracted a number of Serie A clubs. The Reds are said to be keeping tabs on him along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United. Source: Daily Star Rumour four The Reds could be interested in Red Bull Salzburg centre-back Martin Hinteregger. Hinteregger, 21, was supposedly watched by the Reds during Austria's 1-1 draw with Uruguay, where the defender marked Luis Suarez throughout. The tall defender is also attracting attention from Arsenal.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Liverpool-secure-Champions-League-spot.html Mail think the owners are going to back BR to the tune of 60 Million in the Summer. Can see that being close to the truth, if it is true. Who would you like to see come in? Add player sales into that and we could have three or four top players coming in! No its the Daily Fail, but its fun to speculate
Well next season we need to strengthen our defense, keep possession better (which will also help our defense) and supplement all the positives from this season further (depth, competition, squad flexibility). Suso, Borini, Wisdom and Ilori's loan returns will help a lot. A wide forward/AM: I really like the idea of Konoplyanka. Apparently that will cost us £8m in the summer. CM midfield: Improve overall quality. I'd like a really driving force midfielder like a young Gerrard, Yaya Toure type who can give us some aggression going forwards who can really battle past those hard nut DM's the PL is full of and park the bus teams. Not sure who yet. LB: Ricardo Rodriguez. Possibly a RB and CB if players leave in those positions. Or maybe some one who can do both. Micah Richards.
60 mil is hardly a stretch. 20 mi lought to be available form january... OUGHT TO BE. 20 mil should be available no matter what this summer = 40mil get CL and theres another 20mil easy maths.
Can't all go on transfers though, not as simple as that. You'll have bonuses to pay players in the current team which some of that will help pay, then some towards repaying debt and helping with FFP. Possibly putting some away for the stadium as well.
that's good news, cheers. realized not all of it would have gone on transfer money, but with what you listed, its covered hopefully by that money (stadium very important), so SHOULD lol be £60 mill odd, without sales as well, to spend on reinforcements.
We're looking at an extra 35/40mill on top of what we got this year for the new TV deal. That's a lot..
Did I read today the stadium could be delayed for another two years as it has to go to court for the remaining houses?
Sorry Gez, but Flanno is average at best. He is being over hyped because a) he's a local lad and b) he goes in hard and puts in a shift. Cissokho is our best full back defensively - he can at least close down attackers to stop them from putting in balls. But all in all, Cissokho, Flanno, Johnson and Enrique are not good enough to be starting for us. We need 2-3 new full backs in the summer.
Cissokho? Stop attackers putting balls in? You're having a giraffe He's the worst player at this I've seen in a Liverpool shirt and that includes Kvarme and Konchesky!!! Being local lad means diddly squat to me. I do appreciate effort and hard tackles but I also admire the heart, desire and mentality as well as realising he is still young. He is better than a Carragher of the same age and same position too (although I hated Carra at FB). You think he's average and I think he's better than that. I guess that's the beauty of football; opinions. Lets agree to disagree and look back in a year or two
