Not one we'll be watching on repeat, but it's three points. Nine games to go, and a record high points total within reach.
Scrappy, too many fouls, decent in possession, a few of our players looking very uninspired. Shaw and Lallana miles better than anyone else on the pitch. Wanyama good.
Glad to get that out of the way without any red cards. Should Jay go to Brazil instead of Rickie? Never thought I'd say that.
Not quite Leeds away in the Championship, but a few squeaky bum moments there. It was the sort of game that was always going to be settled by a scrappy goal.
We've played brilliantly recently and lost. We've played scrappily today and won. Any chance we could just play well and win one? Vin
As a straight choice, yes, but they're of course different types of player. The choice is really Rickie or Carroll. That either of them are under consideration right now for the international team just shows us how poor our choices of that type of striker for England are.
Best thing about that game (other than the 3 points) was the fantastic feed. Great work on that one DTLW!
Nah. Lambert is the right kind of player for that England team. He'll be brought on when we just want to put it on someone's head. Rodriguez unfortunately is in direct competition with the likes of Welbeck, and Welbeck is just a bit better.
Lovren looked to be in alot of pain at the end, receiving treatment whilst on the floor. Anybody see what happened?
