    That's my point.

Proper supporters will be at this game.

    PL games have international profile.

I didn't say I liked the situation, the FA Cup should be important, but it's really not a big deal to top flight clubs that aren't trying to mask an underperformace in the league anymore. They'll go for it if they've got a squad worth £500M that lets them compete for everything, but other than that it's an inconvenience. Combine it in our case with us knowing that our starting strikeforce is ineligible to play in the competition and there really is nothing about the game to get people more excited about it than there is any other game.

It's also about now people start thinking about paying for a season ticket, and we've just been told ours could go up 50%, so of course fans are going to be reluctant to spend on extra tickets. Even those who've been saving a bit each month over the last year are suddenly thinking they could have to find an extra £200 in a month or so time. Would your priority be buying this ticket and the other match costs, or being able to buy a season ticket for next season?

It's piss poor whatever way you look at it, win this and we're at Wembley, if that's not important to people, I don't know what is.

I don't actually understand that sentence.
I will presume you mean "is there anything more than football"
    My answer is yes
    1) Having a roof over my head
    2) Feeding my family
    3) Holidays

I support me and my family more than I do Hull City.

The FAC also sees games shown worldwide, it's not just the PL.

As for the price hike, sounds like another crude blackmailing threat from you know who.

Its a big game to sheff united because they have been on sh1t street for ages. If they were a Premier League club playing Charlton who were also in the Prem I doubt if the tickets for the FA Cup 6th round would have sold so well. Because both teams would have fielded weakened teams.
But for us, all we have missing are our two strikers who are cup tied. If they were available I'm sure they would both have played.
Its a massive game for us, not Sunderland, because we WANT to be at Wembley. Why the tie hasn't captured the publics imagination is down to piss poor public relations and ITV wanting to show it. The club have hardly covered themselves in glory pushing this one. All sorts are planned for the game tomorrow yet how many people know about it ? Why leave it until today to announce you can pay on the day ? That's if they have ? Also the Hull public have turned soft, armchair/ pub/ 'supporters'. I have tuned into radio Humberside every day this week for the sports news and City and their Wembley aspirations have hardly been mentioned. I know they have carried a jingle for the game but surely certain 'sports' presenters could sound a little more enthusiastic ? Do you think Huyton RL or Widnes and St Helens share the airwaves on Radio Merseyside with Everton and Liverpool ? And Terry Dol*n and Martin Fish cost this club thousands of supporters when they were running us into the ground. A good two generations of support were lost to SKY, even rugby league, and the pub.
Sunderland have had loads of days out at Wembley, last week for example FFS, so mackems don't be greedy. Its our turn.
Besides they already have a fixture pile up.
Anyone not going tomorrow but wanting to jump on the Wembley bandwagon, if we get there, should hang their heads in shame, but unfortunately their cash is just as good as mine, and yours. Sadly that's what is important today too some people, it's certainly important to football.

Of course it does, we've already done to death why it either is a bluff or it's a massive mistake. It won't stop fans from believing it's possible and preferring to play it safe.

That almost reads as if you'd got to see us in the PO Final then the getting to Wembley would be less of a factor, but that's why you think it's a big game?

So they wouldn't want to go to the final if being off with Allam is the reason? Are any of these people who are pissed off at Allam and therefore won't go to a cup QF pass-holders and pay on the day fans who seem to get over being pissed off with him when we play Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc?

i'm against the name change and have my picture in the yorkshire post holding a no to hull tigers banner, but does anyone seriously object to the clubs owners with the likes of buchanon and hinchcliff, lloyd and even the needler family after harold of course. They are wrong on the name change, surely they could market the tigers nickname without changing our club name, but they have done very well in every other area,i'll be there tomorrow as i am to all home and a few away games and i plan to continue whatever league we play in.but i hope this can be resolved and we can go forward with the allams proudly at the helm

i know this should be in the name change thread, but i read people claiming they aren't going because of the allams,i just cant accept that

I have no idea. I can only speak for myself.
I hope City get to Wembley but I will not be applying for a ticket if we do. The tickets deserve to go to the supporters who have attended the games this season

They haven't done very well in the area of not insulting and belittling fans. People take issue with that and as such I don't think everyone will ever be proud of the Allams.

Hmmmm....they have alienated our landlords, our co tenants, large swathes of our support and even folk who have hardly heard of us.

They have made zero progress on an Academy, they have lied about their intentions re the name change, forcing the Marketing Director to resign, they have wished our fans to die, they have spouted laughable nonsense about 'Manchester Hunter' and generally made themselves look bad rather than good.

Along with Vincent Tan, they are writing another chapter in the 'How not to manage a football brand' book.

Surely, you can accept that Allam has alienated a lot of fans. Some of those fans may be as pig-headed as him and think f**k you Allam I am not paying another penny into your coffers. I suppose the true feeling will come out when season passes go on sale.

i cant argue with the bad stuff, assem does speak before engaging his brain at times and i accept some of it is cringing, but i remember applauding david lloyd as he
walked around the pitch at the arc.what i think i'm saying is these people are ruthless, thats how they get to be where they are,i couldn't care less whether he wants me to die,i'll die when i want(maybe),but there are worse owners out there than him.he could get a terry dolan type in and take a cut on players they sell instead of bringing us the likes of tom huddlestone
