It's not surprising that the smaller teams are selling more for their game. The FA Cup is a bigger competition to smaller clubs because the financial rewards are greater. For bigger clubs it's nothing until they're doing badly in their priority competitions and want to distract their fans from how **** they're doing. In our case, we're doing well in the League, and we know we'll be playing a weakened side (we have no choice, our strike force is cup tied) so fans aren't getting excited about it as there's no belief we could go and win it. In Sunderland's case, they're bringing a lot, but as a club they're in the distraction phase and trying to use the cups to get some form back. They've still got bigger priorities (well one now, but two before last weekend) otherwise the ground would be completely sold out with them taking all the remaining tickets in the home end. The FA Cup 1/4 Final is not a big match for big clubs anymore, no matter how much people want to keep thinking it is or it should be, or how often the clubs/players give interviews to the FA Cup broadcasters saying how important it is.
Unless there is a good reason. Any supporter living in Hull or nr to Hull who can't be arsed to go is a nob. IMO. Win..Draw....Lose get to the Game..... Get on line and buy a friend or a family member one of the remaining tickets . UTT
They've had a great cup run, knocked out Premier League sides, are playing well again (having gone from a relegation battle to being just outside the play-offs) and it is a cup final against a team from a higher league... they're bound to be more excited about their Quarter-final game than a League One home tie against Stevenage. Plus, they got 16k at their last home game - nothing to do with the size of the club, it's just that they've not had as much to look forward to in recent seasons as we have.
Why are they clowns?? The world and its dog know we are playing in the quarter final of the FA Cup yet we havent sold out. The club want people in to the ground and people to buy tickets. They cant post em out. What do you want em to say, we've not sold out so no more tickets we're shutting up shop with the ground on 21.000!!
The ticket office in Hull is open, you can purchase online and collect tomorrow, there was no reason to announce any cash turnstyles until tomorrow morning.
If it was an away game and city had sold all away tickets..…yet you could pay on the gate at the Sol I bet there would be City fans paying into home areas ..But staying under cover in case of being thrown out. Let's hope another 10,000 Sunderland don't turn up.. eek.
Kinell last time I looked they were heading for Lg 2- now it's 11 undefeated and grinding out the 1-0 away wins. A form team to avoid.
There's almost always cash turnstiles on a the SoL, surprised more away fans don't get into the home end at the SoL then do.
Does not having the funds to go mean I am a k**b. Does the fact that if I do go I will be surrounded by Sun'land fans and therefore take any enjoyment away make me a k**b. Does the fact that Allam has p****d supporters off with his idiotic plans make me a k**b. F**k off
You honestly haven't got £20? You don't drink or smoke? I remember when I was 19 selling my leather jacket for a give away price to get to a City cup replay. Needless to say we lost.
I meant be being stupid, but how are people checking the ticket system and seeing how many have been sold?
READ IT AGAIN . I SAID UNLESS HAVING A GOOD REASON.. understand that do you ? not having the funds is a bloody good reason. Dick head
I don't smoke. I hardly drink. As previously said, I have given my pass up this season for a few reasons but mainly cost Add to that that I cant actually stand Allam and have decided I will not line his pockets. If asda/tesco came out and said the s***e that this guy spouts out I would shop elsewhere. Anyway, I do not need to justify why or why I won't go to the game. Everyone has different values and circumstances. It appears that I am not the only one not going tomorrow and maybe Allam needs to look at that rather than trying to sell 20 f*****g shirts to China. What I hate is when some t****r thinks he has the right to call me a k**b cause I am not going. 1-0 to City Aluko 34th minute
If you go on the new City ticket website, you've got the same lay out they have at the KC ticket office, on their computers, when you go there to book seats in person. You just select the Sunderland match. Select what age range and how many, and which stand you want. Then you can see what's available, and what's taken in and around each section.
