No it wouldn't. The only thing it would mean is they're at Wembley again. Even a backlog of games doesn't mean they'll lose them all. They could end up invigorated by it. It is just as likely to help them as hinder them or even not make a single bit of difference. I don't see Man C suddenly falling out of contention for the 1st place in the League because of their cup runs.

Let them win? Let them win this then next what? Appalling attitude. ****ing plastic.

How about if we play to win, but if we lose tell everyone that we let them win.

    That'll guarantee them relegation.

Will Micky Pigswill or Lardy Hesford be presented on the pitch tomorrow?

Two of the biggest ****s to have been associated with our great club.

I dont know why dont you trawl through a load of Sunderland websites papers etc, and then be offended in a pathetic whiny way like Mary Whitehouse going on a porn site and being disgusted at what you see.

I'd rather reach the semi final of the FA cup than stay in the premier league.

    I wouldn't

    Very strange,

Win it possibly, but the premier league has got to be our priority

Because progressing through the FA cup and being one game away from a chance of actually winning our first ever trophy, or at the very least making our first ever cup final appearance, would be far more memorable than another season watching foreign overpaid ****s throwing themselves to the floor every few minutes, Rooney and co refereeing the match for themselves and losing at least 50% of our games for another year.

Give me a cup run any day.

Getting the final would mean massive worldwide publicity for the name Hull City.

What kind of idiot would then change the name???

did you not spot the question mark and the name of the poster? do you always assume that whoever asks such a question believes the answer to be yes?

Surely staying in the premier league gives you a foundation to reach the semi's more consistently?

If you'd have said win the FA cup, I'd be more inclined to agree. But only reaching the semi's? Not really ground breaking.

That's a very good point, from then, publicity can go either way.

Do you think finishing 17th (or there abouts) every year is enjoyable?

Being on a cup run, potentially getting to Wembley is a great achievement for our club. Miles bigger than just merely staying up year after year.

If we got to the Final, you'd tell your kids/ grand children about it. You wouldn't tell them about how City stayed up or got mid table.

Reaching the final, yes. Reaching the semis, no.

As I have said, staying in the premier league gives us more chances of reaching semi finals. I'd definitely prefer staying in the premier league than just reaching a semi final.

The financials for staying up vastly outweigh winning the cup.

The cup seems to have lost its magic locally.

If we get to the final, most would watch it on tv or say they couldn't afford it

    ...........wouldn't they?
