Todays racing comes to us from Ayr, Leicester, Sandown, Wolverhampton and across the water at Dundalk.

Please put up any thoughts or selections for the day here, even if we are all thinking about next week, there must be a few runners today who take our fancy...<ok>

That card at Sandown Park today must be the worst the course have ever held. Why on earth have they invited the ‘marching and saluting brigade’ along?!?

Incidentally, do the winning connections in those races get no money but instead shiny medals patronisingly pinned on their lapels by minor Royals?!?

    Hello lads.

Haven't had a good look but I have noticed that of the 12 races staged at Leicester and Sandown 6 are for amateur riders...completely ridiculous.

No wonder so many pro riders are complaining about the difficulty of making a living from the sport.

Have to agree , that the cards today are uninspiring, however there has to be a winner in each race , same as all other races --Bradley in the 3 05 for the in form F O'Brien team must have an outstanding chance today-capable rider, course form and weaker opposition all point to a fine opportunity to get a win on the board before the festival --where the unbeaten mare Down Ace takes on the meetings banker for many.....

I am also going to give St Ignatious another chance in the 7 30 Wolves--a horse who knows how to win-and has bounced back from poor runs with winning ones before- seems to do well this time of year...at 16/1 it seems a crime to not have a go !

SBC, old chap, you really are an enigma? These characters are your sort of people, they are no different to N.Henderson, Henry Pickles-Ponsonby, (or whatever the hell his name is), etc., etc. Don't understand your frequent tirades against our military and royalty, are you a deeply-embedded foreign spy (yes, I do read too much le Carré, must admit)? If N.Henderson were to be knighted, he'd kneel and bend so low he would probably become permanently disabled?

Well after a couple of top notch pork sausages from my local butcher, with some chilli sauce and some of last nights left over rice dinged in the microwave, im up for what ever is thrown in front of me for the rest of the day... Nothing like a good hot chilli rush to get you going on a coldish spring day...!!!

Lets see if we can find a few runners to top up the funds for next week now...<cheers>

The Jim Goldie and James Reveley combination have a strike rate of 36% with James winning 4 out of his 11 rides for the Scottish trainer and Jimbob has 2 rides up at Ayr for him today...

Titus Bolt, 5/4 in the 2.20 and Stormin Exit, 3/1 in the 4.35...

Nice couple of singles with a double looks the order for today...<cheers>

    I know Heis would approve...<ok>

cheers uncle--whats your thoughts on the 7 30 at Dunstall Park tonight -if you have any-a tight handicap imo-where most have a chance-but with Alan Bailey having a fine run i like the bottom weight who knows his way round this track and often runs very well early march ....?
