This morning times paper is saying Arsenal had talks with reps of Jose Enrique as he is set to replace Liverpool bound Gael Clichy... hope it's true, his fee will push through more signings.

Inclined to agree... but bindippers will pay us a more than lucrative fee.

He'd get a good reception first game of the season that's for sure.

His style of play would really suit Arsenal, it'd be like they had Cashley again, bombing down the left flank. I'd rather he went abroad but Arsenal would be the next best thing. <ok>

I'd prefer he didn't go at all! I still love that man and we've got plenty of money left from the Carroll deal.

I'd rather have players with the passion to play here, Jose isn't that so he isn't good enough for the club.

Enrique has put a great amount of effort into being the club's left back and has arguably been one of our most important players but watching him as the season was wrapping up, his heart just wasn't in it any more. He's already left us, he's just waiting to see where.

would be an excellent move for him IMO; suits their style of play whilst bringing some much needed muscle to their back line. wouldnt begrudge him for going there, he's obviously good enough for CL football, and he needs the extra limelight for a (deserved) callup to the national side. I've always liked le arse, will like them more if it goes through (whereas if he moved to liverpool i'd hate them more)

still, like everything else, i wont believe it's true until he signs on the dotted line (e.g. Liverpool a 'done deal')

Good luck to him if he goes to Arsenal. Like most of you have all said, would still love him if he went to Arsenal.

I dont have anything against him and I will still like him if he moves. It's quite disappointing but its understandable that he wanted a move to a champions league club after having a season like that. After all, he did stick with us when we went down.

Agreed with this. It'll be very disappointing to see him go but all the best to him if he does.

Hopefully we could get £10 million, maybe Gibbs on loan / part exchange would make it a better deal. If they do spend £10m on Jose it'll be pretty clear to Gibbs that he'll only be their Carling Cup player.
