Hull are without their in-form strikers, Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic, who are both cup-tied, but I still think they will win. Sunderland were very good and did as much as they could against Manchester City in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday but they still lost and I do not see them heading back to Wembley to make amends. If Hull do make it there instead for the semi-finals then it will cap an impressive season for their boss Steve Bruce. Lawro's prediction: 1-0

Its not his predictions that wind me up, its his often ill-informed and blatant bias that irritates. I read his predictions every week now, have done for ages, just to see what else he's got to say. I just dont get where his dislike for the club comes from. Irish, never played for the unwashed up the road, though had a very brief coaching spell there. Even Shearer has a good word for us now and again on MOTD. It's not that I give a ****. Just puzzled.

Having watched our game against Swansea earlier in the season where Chico got booked then committed at least 3 other definite yellow cards and one which could easily have been a red, without as much as a talking to, the ref from this weekend seems canny lenient!
..It hasn't so much been the fact that we have had 3 players sent off in 2 games against them this season, but all of them has been in the early stages of the game..If we can get past the first twenty minutes with our team intact, then I think we are racing certainties..

Can't deny a pundit his predictions but his comments re Johnson earlier in the year were way out of line and against common conceptions. Normally a player would be praised for wanting first team football ahead of higher wages and a place on the bench of a championship winning side. Lawrenson's blatant disregard for the form and ability of our team left me seething earlier in the season, now I'm simply bemused anyone takes his opinions seriously.
