Donald Dukakis is Huey, Dewey, and Luis Suarez's uncle.

Might be worth Danny's and LFC's lawyers watching Wenger's news conference tomorrow, he could explode into an LFC conspiracy rant and advise the FA to ban Danny.

All those who sign the Suarez petition are just as thick as those who penned it in the first place.

Arsenal took a flier with their £+1 offer. JH played hardball and there was at least enough doubt about the wording of the clause for neither Arsenal or Suarez's Agent to not want to take the risk of taking LFC to court. Neither FSG or LFC did anything wrong. They did not break the law or have any moral obligation to comply.

They all know deep down that they have yet again imploded and it's after a fabulous run too. If the fa cup falls apart too I reckon they'll be calling for heads again..... Why do arsenal implode every February?

Lack of management of Christmas or what?

I mean we should admit we are lucky to have sturridge cos Suarez was tired after it too...... Ah well could be posting the arsenal clock since a trophy next Monday.... Come on Everton!

The last 2 season our best form has been February onwards taking more points than any other team. So this whole arsenal implode in February stuff is lazy and doesn't really ring true.

Prior to that we had a couple of seasons where we fell apart towards the end of the season but that was a totally different group of players...

Now start being honest. Your side is certainly not showing the form that took you to the top of the table. You have a growing injury list and also a loss of form in some key players. All of that has had an affect your league position. Those facts are there for all to see. As Arsenal have not shown any reason why this decline should not continue then the word collapse does appear appropriate. It's not about what has gone before it's about what the group of players you do have are doing right now.

I wasn't disputing whether we would collapse or not, I was just disagreeing with the point about it being every February that we implode.

As to whether we will collapse or not I'm not sure, we have a lot of injuries and our toughest run of fixtures of the season, our next handful of games are the most important for us and will go a long way to deciding how likely we are to win a trophy this season and where we will finish in the league. If we are still in the running for any competition after our league game with Everton I'd say we are in with a good shout of winning something, if not then no chance.

  15. Arsenal always have a good start and are there or thereabouts come the festive period yet always seem to be off the pace come April/May time. If you are saying the implosion doesn't happen in February and you usually have a good finish, your January's must be proper rank <laugh>

I seem to remember one season recently where you struggled a bit in the first half then improved in the second, but generally you do start off well and fade a bit after the new year- though the word "implode" is probably a bit strong.
My "desperate" comment wasn't referring to Arsenal in general, but to the idiots who put up petitions like the ones we were discussing.
Obviously none of us knows the full story, but if LFC had broken any rules, then I doubt JWH's lawyers would have let him make those comments.
As for BR telling Agger to hurt Jack Wilshere, well- good luck trying to prove that one.

This is why people talking about "Mickey Mouse" cups are full of BS. Winning isn't just a trophy it prevents the mental breakdowns we now see on an annual basis from Arsenal.

Prior to this season our last 2 seasons had our worst start to a season in wengers entire time at the club. We got more points in the second half of those seasons than any other team afaik. We haven't even been in the top 4 at this stage but have gone on to finish the season better than anyone else.

It was the couple of seasons before that when we fell away towards the end of the campaign (sometimes in rather spectacular fashion!).

The point I'm making is that this whole "arsenal always implode at the end of the season" hasn't been true in the recent past, infact it has been the total opposite starting poorly and finishing well.

Annual basis implies every year, but as said already the last couple of years have seen arsenal finish the season very well, overcoming large points gaps to get back into the top 4, the opposite of a mental breakdown IMO.

In the last couple of seasons we have had our worst starts and best ends to the season in wengers time with us.

As for the petitions, just lol, people have too much time on their hands :p
