2 Arsenal petitions have been created in recent days.

One claims Liverpool should give Suarez to Arsenal for free because they offered buyout clause.

Second says Liverpool should be punished for Aggers challenge on Wilshire claiming John Henry told Dagger to take out Wilshire.

The first petition I have some sympathy for. It was perhaps unethical to not sell him. I highly doubt Suarez would transfer to Arsenal now though.

The second petition about the FA punishing Liverpool and Dagger for a challenge in an international friendly is silly and ludicrous. Tinfoil hats anyone?

It was unethical to attempt to exploit a confidential release clause with a +£1 bid.

The pathetic ****s will rightly be laughed off the internet by every other football fan in the world. Except maybe Tobes, he will probably think they're in the right.

Lol... I'm glad we kept Suarez... probably morally in the wrong... but still glad.

It's about time clubs took a harder stance over player contracts the spoiled ****ers think they can do what they want and have all the power, our owner showed that maybe that's not the case.

A buyout clause as I understand: a club trigger the buyout clause if they offer the amount or above of the buyout. But .... the owner club still have discretion on whether their player can talk to the club offering to buy him. It doesn't mean that the player has to be sold if the offer is met, just means if the club allow him, he can begin negotiations.

But there must surely be a basic translation before the other intricate terms come in to play. Is it true Suarez current contract has £100m buyout for a foreign club or £130m for a PL side?

If Suarez really wanted to go to Arsenal he would have handed in a transfer request. He didn't, end of! i think when Real come knocking we might see it though.

  12. I don't have a copy to hand so I don't know.

Any details in a contract should be clear. A release clause should state the player can leave should X be offered. If it says they may speak to the buying club then ots not a release clause.
