Traore willing to swallow painkillers if he can play for QPR against Birmingham 5 Mar 2014 13:55 Midfielder ready to put his body on the line for Rangers Share on print Share on email Armand Traore Armand Traore will take painkillers if it allows him to face Birmingham on Saturday. The QPR midfielder has suffered a trapped nerve in his back that affects his calf, and is receiving chiropractic treatment in order to keep up a decent run in Rangers midfield. The Frenchman twisted sharply in the last five minutes of Saturdayâs 1-1 draw with Leeds and at first thought he had done serious damage. âI changed direction quickly and felt a sharp pain in my calf, and I couldnât walk at first,â he explained. âI thought it was a strain, but itâs nerve related and Iâve seen the chiropractor. âIf you ask me can I play? I will say yes. I can easily take some painkillers or inflammatories. âBut the doctors are like âwait and see, and âmaybe keep you in (from training) Thursday and Friday'. But if you ask me, Iâll think Iâll be fine.â
Noticed this too. Traore seems to have more determination and commitment this season, and has settled into his midfield role, proving to be a real threat at times.
He is "managing his chimp" apparently and its made all the difference. http://www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/traore-turning-qpr-career-around-managing-chimp
That all made real sense and sounds true...he has converted me.. And we really do need him at the moment...He could step up instead of Matty and Junior I believe Traore and Barton tomorrow starting...tomorrow starts our run to the finishing line Come on u RRRS
Am I the only one who raises the eyebrows when I read these sh1te reports......"take painkillers and play through the pain barrier".......,"going to give my everything this weekend for the fans"......., "fully committed to getting the Team out of the situation we should not be in", .........."yadda, yadda, yadda".........?? Makes me pull my hair out (that's why I'm bald(ish))!!!
Good lad....now start by roasting the Brum fall backs on saturday and set up chances that even our goal shy forwards mothers couldn't miss.......
Its a sad state of affairs when Traore looks like one of our most committed players. Speaking of painkillers, apparently more than half of footballers take them pre game without an injury, which surprises me considering half of them spend all game rolling around in agony.
I thought from the thread title he was going to overdose, I wonder where this sudden determination has come from, not out of contract in the summer by any chance? (Excuse my cynicism)...
