Unfortunately there are so many fundamental things wrong with the England setup I have little if no interest in England games any more, especially with Hodgson pending retirement shortly after the World cup kicks off.

Hodgson is far more likely to select a player like Wilshere rather than improve the team with including Huddlestone... a huge mistake but thankfully a big positive for our club as proved with Wilsheres recent injury.

Wait... are you suggesting Wilshere < Thudd?

    Rather than Cleverley < Thudd?

    Huddlestone wouldn't improve England.

His form has dropped off incredibly since the December.

If you swapped him for Cleverley he'd improve England. Even in his bad form.

Wilshere is fantastic. He'd be one of the first names on my teamsheet if I was Roy, which thankfully I'm not, as I still have my marbles.

So what ? Hudd is still more than good enough for England. You cannot run around Brazil like you do in europe. Ball retention and letting the ball do the work is key. Last night England gave the ball away far too often.

    Correct.

I do get a bit annoyed though when more people outside of the club want Thudd in the squad than Davies.

    Davies has been immense.

Barkley is better than Wilshere anyways.

    In my opinion.

I agree but i think Barkley is more a number 10, someone who will play off the forward, wilshere is more your box to box midfielder. I think Wilshere is hugely overrated as he doesn't anything great in his career yet, but he does have talent.

Not sure if I'd take Wilshere... he's injured that often he never gets chance to work the rust off. I didn't think he looked 'match sharp' last night. Match-fit he is well worth his place, but it is rare for him to be fit these days. He showed what he is capable of for a few months at the start of the season when he was fit for Arsenal, but each time he's back, he's injured again shortly after.

    -------------Hart-------------

    -Shaw--Davies--Cahill--Baines-

    -------Gerrard--Barkley--------

    ---Sterling--Rooney--Llalana---

    -----------Sturridge-----------

Players should be picked on form. Rooney is given some leeway due to the fact that he could potentially form a partnership with Sturridge and he will offer a lot to the team even when not playing brilliantly.

I know but he can play RB as well, and as we don't have a RB but have two excellent LBs I would try him out there. When Walker is fit he could slot in there to give the side a bit more balance.

Have you ever seen him play RB for Southampton?

He is 18 i would much rather we didn't play an 18 year old with one cap in a position he very, very rarely plays.

Davies ahead of Smalling is a far easier call than Huddlestone ahead of Cleverley.

I'd definitely take Huddlestone ahead of Cleverley, but I'd probably take Barry ahead of either of them.
