Sadly, it's too late for the push, but it's ridiculous that Britton's never been tried out for England. Why not? Alongside Gerrard at the base of midfield, the two of them could support England playing with Liverpool and Man U's attack - Sturridge, Sterling, Lallana and Rooney. Or maybe Henderson/Wilshire in there somewhere.

To be honest, England's best balance might come from dropping Rooney and playing Wilshire. Just saying.

Very good read, but Britton is too technical for inept England, they will not be in Brazil long with Hodgson!...........................<laugh>

Thank you for the article Goodland, its excellent and quite right. It would be a just reward for this hard working professional, we have been so lucky to have. For the Swans, Leon simply has to play in every remaining match to prevent us falling down the table.
Diminutive in size, a giant on the pitch its been great to follow his career with the Swans, I hope he carries on for a few seasons yet. <ok>

If Leon had been at a bigger english club he would have had a cap years ago. His size is a bit of an issue when they look at the position and players available but as far as i am concerned it should not come into it...He has been unfairly overlooked imo...Sadly i think its to late now.....
