I went up the alp d'huez last year, you have to get up and camped 24 hrs before the tour comes through and then it takes 10 hrs to get down but it was worth it, party all night with the mental Dutch and Spanish . The speed those boys can ride at in the mountains is amazing.

I think Marquez will be top dog for a few years to come but it will be good to see if Bradley Smith can step up with his new ride . I also go to a couple of continental Moto GP's a year if I can , did Le Mans and Valencia in 2012 and Assen last year.

Luke- the score line doesn't reflect what really happened. The Roosters team had 99% of their squad from last year so knew exactly where everyone was. Wigan were well prepared and have some really exciting prospects , think if the tables were reversed and it was played in the UK I suspect Wigan would win. Why the Aussies keep producing great teams, think it's the young coaches that are around. The Roosters coach was at Catalans for a couple of years and was head hunted by the boss at the Roosters. Great talent relates to the players well,Woy could learn from that!

I did Valencia a few years back and it was good, very windy though. I used to go to Donington every year but then for about 3 years running the weather was shocking and ruined it so I'm more of an arm chair fan these days. It would be nice to see Bradley do well.it will also be interesting to see how Crutchlow gets on with the Ducati. I'm not holding my breath though!!

I think an ex GPO Bantem will do better than the Ducati this year mate but I hope I'm wrong. I used to go to the British rounds but got fed up with the rip off ticket prices and poor facilities .

Cricket, rugby, darts and occasionally tennis, I'll watch if they're on and it's a big game. Boxing's the only one I'd really make anytime for though.

I used to love watching boxing. At my age, I've seen so many great fighters and great fights. Ali v Frazier, Ali v Foreman, Hearns v Leonard, Leonard v Hagler, etc, just to name a few. Maybe it's me, but boxing just doesn't seem to have that quality, that magic anymore.

True. Boxing lost its aura some time ago - like the F.A.Cup. My memories of boxing on TV were firstly McGuigan, then Tyson's fights, Leonard, Duran (as an ageing supermiddleweight) and then Benn v Eubank v Collins - know what I mean 'Arry?

They were big, big events which no amount of Sky hype can recreate now.

Yeah, some great fighters in there. I think the most destructive pound for pound fighter, I've seen, would be Marvin Hagler.

Nobody's mentioned track and field. No greater sight than Bolt dancing his way over the finish line in an impossible WR time. To be so much better (at his best0 than other world class athletes - and all those who have gone before- is amazing. And he wants to play for Utd!

Nobody's mentioned horse racing either. Watching Frankel accelerate and ease past the rest like they're standing still is just like watching Bolt.

I went to Assen 4yrs running during Fogarty's reign, the track was so much better then with that double straight, it used to be a 2minute lap, the chopped version has lost something for me. Same with Misano, its bloody **** since they made them go clockwise round it.

My first trip to Donington was a freak. It was a Bank Hol., May Day I think, WSB again with Foggy, and on the Saturday the temp crashed and it unexpectedly snowed, caught everyone out, Foggy was drawing 100k spectators then, and by midday there wasn't a bike jacket or coat left on a rack in any of the stalls, and Superpole was eventually cancelled. Sunday...got sunburnt!

I enjoyed UFC for a while but now find it a tad tedious, and I actually prefer watching "The Ultimate Fighter" show, thats more entertaining and interesting then the UFC at the moment!

Boxing I used to love when it was the Nigel Benn Era, was hoping to see Haye live up to his words and fight klitschko in a rematch, but that never happen and thats why Boxing isn't as popular, its too difficult to arrange the fights everyone wants.

Mayweather and Manny should have happened when both in their peak, in any other sport the best face the best, but in boxing, its ridiculous how fighters can avoid each other! Fighters should be under one organisation. But looking forward to the Groves Froch fight as Groves was clearly the better fighter and the fight shouldn't have been stopped in the first fight.

Other then that I watch Tennis, Rugby, Athletics, Darts, Snooker Always been a big sports fan in general.

Like some others on here, love the UFC and Ultimate Fighter - happy to watch most full contact sports. Funny how we're drawn to combat/contact sports like this (and Rugby), yet love the wimpy diving feigning injury footballers!!!

If you want more brutal, try watching some "pure" (not Western) Muay Thai. Fanbloodytastic. Although not a very naturally sporty person, I've been doing it around 6 years and will be fortunate enough to go to Thailand at the end of the year to train for a week or so. At the ripe old age of 47 (when I go), should be a good test of the old heart / lungs .....and everything else!!

Hear hear, both of my knees are ****ed thanks to playing Prop Forward. I love the game but now I'm struggling to walk. My back too has never been right since playing. I follow F1 and other lower formulas. Sports 2000 and Formula V. I've been pit board man at Silverstone, bloody hard work, no high tech stuff on the pit wall, just 1 computer shared between all the teams. Less than 2 minutes every lap to work out how far your driver is in front/behind, make up a pit board and hang it out. Same every lap.

Yeah TUF is quality, similar to my post earlier about Semi Pro boxers, they're eager to impress so go all out for a win in order to try and earn their UFC contract. I remember last year, Uriah Hall's lethal spinning back kick on Cella, arguably one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen in all of UFC, let alone TUF.

Haha yeah, what makes it better is that Football probably has the most violent fans too when considering the hooligan aspect.

I've always wanted to learn one of the top brands of martial arts, I done Shotokan as a kid but it's nothing compared to your Muay Thai's, BJJ, Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do etc. Good luck with the training camp, will surely be an amazing experience, even if it will leave you slightly puffed by the end of it :D

Maybe that's why we're drawn to the combat/contact sports. There is only so much football you can watch on its own without feeling like balling when you stub your toe when you get up for your next round of babycham. So you get up, go down the pub to watch a game of men bashing into each other with a pint or 7 of guinness.

Yeah, I did Kyushinkai karate when I was in my 20's. Got as far as blue belt, then gave it up. It got too much along with the Rugby, work, chasing skirt, etc...

I got up to the brown and two white stripes belt, meaning my next belt would've been black but then my Sensei decided to **** off and teach over in Spain, leaving me gutted. I tried Go Kan Ryu for about a month but couldn't be arsed to learn what seemed a similar style of Karate all over again.

I'll admit to having a soft spot for Meisha Tate, Yes I know "she" has a f**ked up nose! but she was fantastic as a coach on ultimate fighter and while Rhonda was always going to defeat her, Meishas personality made that show. what lets her down is her emotions, she goes into fights and forgets any game plan or starts to execute a game plan and then allows her emotions to get the better of her.
