  2. The only good thing about this England set up is that we are so ****e, it will be an early return from Brazil, and we won't have too long to suffer with the agonies of delusion that, perhaps, we might make it to the knock out stages.

Watching England and Chile at the same time, I couldn't agree more. The difference in quality is shocking.

Ozil leaving to deafening boos. :emoticon-0136-giggl

  4. I think we should all start a petition to make sure none of the Mouser players make it to Brazil.

Yeah, I nearly spat out my drink when that was announced, I guess it says more about the game than Sterling that he was awarded it.

Really poor performance, if that's what we're taking to the World Cup we'll struggle to get even a point. I tell you what, HIAG could make a "who should got to the World Cup, Wilshere or Livermore?" thread and it wouldn't even be a pisstake.

Ordinary performance against an average team missing their best player, nobody has stood out in this performance and we have learnt what we already knew, England are an average team that will do well to get out of their group in Brazil.

We have nobody who would get into the Spain, Brazil, Germany, Holland, France or Argentina squads.

Why did Sterling get man of the match, for his comical dive in the first half? He should have remembered he was playing for England and not Liverpool.

Certainly not my favourite team but I rate Sturridge and like him as a player. Today Sturridge just looked lazy and disinterested but I won't hold that against him as he's having a very good season. I thought Johnson was the best Liverpool player on the night though, he added a bit of intent whenever he got forward and did his job at the back. I'd have given man of the match to Schmeichel and our best player was Lallana, frankly.

Lazy? Did you not see him defend a lot in first half?

I think you hate Liverpool more than Arsenal :D That is a good thing, as you see them as superiors like Arsenal in North London

I definitely hate Arsenal more than Liverpool. I disliked England today because Hodgson misused a bunch of Liverpool players rather than letting them play in the way they've been successful with this year.

There were a number of occasions where he didn't make any effort to get into a good position in the box which I put down to laziness as normally his movement is excellent.

I really don't hate Liverpool, anyone on here will tell you that I always moan about England players that don't play well. Smalling, Welbeck and Cleverley are lucky that I've got bored of criticising them :D

Well do you think Defoe should start ahead of Sturridge, like Defoe and Rooney partnership upfront? <laugh>

A performance you'd expect from so many players out of form and favour for their clubs, and an overcomplicating manager.

Of course not. I've already said I rate Sturridge highly, although as it was a friendly it would have been worth trying someone else because we can't rest all our hopes on Sturridge and Rooney both remaining fit at the World Cup.
