It was a cross to the 2 mc players on right, that's why Manone was off his line, to collect the cross (IMHO). Toure won't admit it though, spakey get

I thought it was a cooking class goal And not a cross. Mind they way we played it had to be either world class or jammy as folk to score.

I don't think it was either, I think it was just one of those instinctive kicks. I don't think he meant anything apart from putting the ball into a dangerous area. He did not see the 2 players at the back stick but probably knew they were there. He also know the goalie would be off his line.

He has not tried to deliberately put it in the corner of the goal, he has taken a chance putting it into that dangerous area and its gone in. We were unlucky as it was going to take a master stroke to score against us and they got 2.

I've just watched it again a few times from different angles and the pace he hits that at suggests it wasn't a cross in my opinion.

He doesn't look up to see who's in position at the back post, he plays a simple one-two with Zabaleta to buy a bit of room, he wants it in front of him to run and smash it, but Zabaleta plays it slightly behind him and he has to readjust but he still hits it for a shot, never a cross. Any other player on the pitch I'd be inclined to agree that it was a cross.

I cannot believe Barcelona replaced this guy with Alex Song.
