I'm still amazed that Johnson is anywhere near the England team. On form, he is probably one of the worst RBs in the league right now...

Other problem is to name a better English RB at the moment. That is difficult Too!

Seriously, I would play Flanno ahead of Johnson til the end of the season in a red shirt.

Thus, Flanno > Johnson for the England team too.

Like I said though, big name selection. No one knows Flanagan, no one rates him, no one watches him and he's never in the news so he'll never get picked. He's not, strictly speaking, good enough for international football (yet) but on form he's miles ahead of ****ing Glen Johnson.

Roy can only pick the names in the media spotlight.

    Not the point.

He's playing better than Johnson period!

So he should be selected ahead of him period!

England team is supposed to be the form players, not the big names. This is precisely why we've ****ed up and underachieved the last...godknows how long. We pick the names, not the in form players. We pick the top earners with the biggest rep and not the players who'd fit the team best.

Say what you want, we all know Flanno is limited, but he's playing ****ing miles better than Glen, so his name should be right up there in consideration. Period!

Allen Green: As a former Man United fan I honestly say if any Utd player other than Rooney goes it's a travesty. Better players elsewhere this year.

    Hart
    Johnson Cahill Smalling Cole
    Gerrard Wilshire Henderson
    Sterling Rooney Sturridge

Be interesting to see how the front 3 line up and if one of Rooney/Sturridge is pushed wide or is Henderson/Wilshire will have to.

Lots of Liverpool players in that team though, can only be good for us and their confidence <ok>

Smalling's a bit fortunate there's so many injuries...he's been crap all season too.

Cole over Baines or Shaw is a laugh, he's barely played all season.

Johnson I've said my piece on already.

Wilshere over Lallana? Strange one too...Cough, big name.

Baines is being rested because he's 1st choice. Roy will give Cole & Shaw 45 minutes each to impress him and see who deserves to go as Baines' understudy at the WC. Although this will probably be Cole's only football between now and then so can't really see how he could warrant a place in the WC squad.

Brilliant! Morale boost for the lads too I would think.

Fair play for Roy having the balls to do that. I spoke about this at work today and dismissed it as never happening because of Roy and the FA.

Big chance for Sturridge, Sterling and Henderson.
