Aye, he was 21 when we had him and, to be fair, he looked the business. He had a good season for Wigan and lower PL is his level IMO. He'll never be good enough for a side competing in Europe.
I'd have had Caulker, Shaw and Lallana in for Smalling, Cole and Henderson. Why are we playing Sturridge on the wing? Frankly ridiculous decision from someone who is trying to please the big clubs. He's trying to fit as many in to any old formation. Personally hope England get dicked tonight. Hopefully Roy gets a right shake up.

Why would you play Cole?? Surely you know everything about him now. Pointless. Shaw should start, see what he can do and bring Baines on when/if he tires. Cole has been the best England player for the last 10 years but his legs have gone.
