I know many of you will already have seen this but it sums up last season for me. More than that it reflects just how I feel about LFC; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rdUlsMRndw
Fixed your link for you! And yes the difference between the start and finish is massive. I'll never forget this season. So bad at times it's incredible.
What would you say your lowest point was? I know there were several (thankyou Roy), but which was the one where you'd just had enough of it all? Mine would be the 0-1 against a Wolves team with one fit striker. Absolutely awful.
Yup same Roy was gone after that. You just knew we were going to lose. Absolutely no confidence in the team. Losing to Northampton and Blackpool realy hurt too. That god its over.
Remember that game against Bolton at Anfield? Losing 1-0 at half time (silver lining, Roy was surely on his way out...) And who steps in to prolong his time here... Joe Cole! Cheers for that one Joe.
Thanks. I've been supporting LFC for over 50 years. I've seen great teams, great games and some pretty poor ones as well. But last year took me to the depths of despair and the re-birth of hope - incredible! I don't want to get carried away but I do feel that the fundementals are now in place to make the success we all desire happen. Our new owners did not buy us for love of LFC. They have made a hard-bitten corporate decision to buy and develop the club for future profit. The management team have already shown that they are single minded in making that happen. KK does not just being an understanding of the culture of the club but (along with his staff) an understanding of how to build, use and motivate a football team. It has many similarities to the appointment of Shanks who had a board that was willing to back him.
Everything beside the new owners coming in and Kenny being back where he belongs I would like to forget all the rest as it was very dark days at Anfield But we got through the storm Kenny brought the team and the fans back together don't get me wrong i wasn't going to stop supporting LFC but it was testing times to say the least Now with Henry&co and Kenny&co it feels like we are back on the right track I'm not saying that we will get our bread and butter next season It's just great to see we are moving forward and building Can't wait for the new season to start missing me footie
Even though I didn't stop supporting,I just didn't care.I didn't have any optimism at the start of last season and expected ''more of the same'' from the previous season. There was no excitement whatsoever. There was something that didn't sit right with Hodgsons appointment.I know he's a decent bloke. But he never got the juices flowing. He never seemed like a ''Liverpool manager''. Kenny's different,He's a club legend, our greatest ever player and possibly the greatest ever player to have come out of the UK.He's had the job before and he knows what it takes to return Liverpool to their throne. Some of those that suggested he's a bottler are morons. What he went through in 1989 would have destroyed a lesser man.He did it because he cares. He took on unbelievable pressure and that should never ever be mocked. He's such a humble man that he tells people off for refering to him as ''King Kenny''.Charlie Nicholas was one of those that did so and got told off.Now this fits right and does get the juices flowing and with the new owners in place, the optimism has returned. There is more confidence. Now I don't think everything is perfect yet,as there is still room for improvement. And this can be done with help from the owners in getting in new signings and clearing out the players that aren't in Kennys plans. I'm sticking to my comment that Kenny will turn Liverpool into champions within 3 years.
