Was proud of our lads yesterday. We led most of the game, Borini showed me exactly why he's the man to lead our forward line, We had the stuffing knocked out of us by a fluke of a cross from Toure and sheer brilliance from Nasri. Nevermind I say, it was always a tough game and we showed we were no push overs.

Next up Hull and low and behold the winners are off to Wembley. I think Gus got it wrong where he played Colback, he didn't have the pace that position required and expect him to replace Larsson in center midfield (albiet a bit further up the pitch against Hull) and Giacc brought in to the inside left posistion, apart from that same team for me.

Mannone
O'Shea-----------Brown
Bardo---------------------------Alonso

Catts

Ki---Colback
johnson----------------------Giacc
Borini

Some of the stranger Hull fans and their bizarre logic have been shown by the Mags, just because you've beaten a team doesn't mean you beat them every time. Keep 11 on the pitch and I'm confident we can see Wembley part II.

PS, big shout out to Tees and Bobby and their lovely ladies. Pleasure to meet you all. We got there eventually. Glad you enjoyed the meal. :p

Would agree sticking Giacch in and the other selections apart from maybe JC. Good player but very one footed. Not Sebs biggest fan but was impressed with him yesterday.

Tough calls for Gus.
Regardless of who plays we also have a decent bench

Thing is, our strongest players have just had their first game after two weeks off, I don't think they need another two weeks off going into a must win premier league game against Palace. I'm fine with using the squad if that's what happens but I'd like us to keep it strong and let them build some more momentum to take into the league. Plus I really want another semi final. :D

I would bring in Dossena (for Brown), and Gardner for Colback, but go 4-4-2.

That has to be our strongest team and if there are no injury issues then surely we have to play our best 11?

Agreed play our strongest team. I was disappointed Giacc did not start yesterday, Catts was immense and must play too, I have this feeling Gus might go with Bridutt instead in a bid to keep 11 on the pitch.

If we don't then our strongest will go into the palace game after playing one game in a four week period. Simply not enough game time before such a big game.

WITH SAFC just one more game away from another trip to Wembley, thousands of supporters are set to back the Black Cats during their away game at Hull.

Almost 4,000 Sunderland AFC fans will travel to Hull City’s KC Stadium on Sunday following the team’s Capital One Cup final draw against Manchester City at the weekend.

Tickets for the FA Cup with Budweiser 6th round tie have sold out, with a semi-final place in the competition at stake.

And Gus Poyet’s side are back in Barclays Premier League action at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, March 15 for an important game against Crystal Palace.

A special offer for SAFC season card holders is available for the game, allowing fans to purchase two additional tickets for just £10 each.

Standard tickets for the games are priced at £25 for adults, £19 for over 65s and £10 for under 16s and can be purchased tickets in person from the Stadium of Light ticket office, by calling the credit card hotline 24 hours a day on 0871 911 1973 or by visiting www.safc.com/tickets.

Supporters who purchase tickets online can use the club’s free print at home service – full details can be found on www.safc.com.
