I really want him to come back and get a run in the team, but if he goes we need to get at least the Alberto money back 8-10 for sure.

Suso wants assurances that he'll be in the first team squad next season and if he can't get that here, he'll look to move on. Rodgers is a fan, but depends on if he wants him enough at his current level.

Most our transfer links seem to be copy/pasted from the last 3 years...

Would be gutted if Suso didn't come back and play some part next season. We won't be 1st name on the team sheet but he'd certainly have a part to play and if we get into CL I can't see him wanting to move to a club not in it.

suso, tex, alberto, llori, wisdom etc etc i should imagine will all get pre season to impress, esp with most of our first team having played in the world cup, just hope they make the most of it and impress.

even though he is unlikely to get much game time, i am a bit worried that suso might be behind tex now, although if we get european football, we will have a lot more games in which to rotate, and suso and tex will be used for the cup games hopefully.

where does alberto fit in all this?

Texeira has only played about 20 minutes. Though he did look very good.

Texeira's fitness record has a had a big low point so I dont know if Texeira can play long runs or whole matches right now.

If any player wants matches they have to earn them in training.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted a move to join Liverpool is possible this summer.

The 25-year-old Armenian attacker has been in fine form for the Bundesliga giants this term, scoring 9 goals and making 7 assists in all competition for Borussia Dortmund.

However, the playmaker’s impressive performance this term in both the Bundesliga and Champions League has attracted attention from a number of Premier League giants, of which it appears Merseyside hopefuls Liverpool are ahead of the pack.

“Of course I know how much Liverpool wanted me, but what happened, happened. I'm now in Dortmund and very happy and proud about it,” he explained of the failed summer switch.

"Can I see myself at Liverpool in the future? You know that it doesn't depend entirely on me. But this is life and everything is possible.”

This appears on the surface as a 180-degree turn around on his comments last year that the Reds’ past glories weren’t enough to convince him Anfield should be his next destination.

“Liverpool have a great past,” he said back in July 2013 following his move to Dortmund.

“But Borussia Dortmund has a great present. I made this decision with my heart.”

Mkhitaryan signed for Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer for £23.6 million but it now appears he has had a change of heart as he now expresses demonstratively his desire to play in the Premier League.

"Would I want to play in England at some point? Bundesliga is not a worse league than the Premier League. That's for sure."

He had stated back in November last year that money had not been the reason he chose to join Borussia Dortmund over Liverpool but rather his desire to play first-team football on a regular basis for fear he might find himself on the bench at Anfield.

"I have come to Dortmund to play and not to sit on the bench, as might initially have been the case in England," he explained.

I couldn't agree more, he had his chance to join but now we are doing well he has had a sudden change of heart? He probably will regret not joining us but he made his bed, the same could be said about that Icelandic no mark that turned us down to join Spurs for a few extra grand in his wages, I hope he regrets joining them over us now but thank god he didn't sign because he is a pathetic footballer.

in the end he plumped for a side that needed bayern to drop off to win things in the next say 3 years.

nothing that's happened to dortmund this year with players or results has been anything like a shock has it?

bender and gundogan are next out the door too.

so whats his wages at dortmund? I don't know he was supposedly after 2.5mil per year from shaktar but god knows what he's on thats only 50k per week.

Is this a case of the guy now trying to double his wages moving to england?

Think we shouldn't worry too much about mkhi, others out there that would cost less now and still be of the same quality.

Sorry Mhiki but the ship has sailed. I don't blame him for picking Dortmund over us - they were in a much better position than we were.

Unfortunately, we have other targets - Roberto Firminio would be a gem of a player and I would still go for Kono as well.

In terms of the position Mikhi played as well, Yarmolenko showed he has those characteristics and more probably last night and in general. Around the same age too. Nice left foot on him.

I don't know what we really want. we were after mkhitaryan when we were seeing suarez issues.

If we plan for SAS............. and sterling... what do we need?

not aspas... not assaidi. We need quality coming in.

Is it a no 10 like mkhitaryan or a winger like konoplyanka?

Is it an attacking midfielder or a box to box type as an upgrade almost to henderson.

If you wrote gerrard, henderson, coutinho as a midfield then..... you buy to upgrade that and you buy as cover to SASAS up top.

so does mkhitaryan replace coutinho? does sterling get replaced by konoplyanka....

I don't know what our targets will be but i THINK we need the holding midfielders (not dm ffs) the left fulls and such as well as a class player in the attacking zone.
