Well you did it last year, and you made yourself look like the mugs that you are. So now it's our turn. Easy 6 points in the bag this season from the Tyne - Wear derbies, especially with Agent Bruce still doing his best to make you the laughing stock of the league. Add to that the fact that Arsenal will be haunted by the memories of St James' last year, we should be on 6 points from 6 and top of the league a couple of weeks into the season
Sorry mate, much as i ain't the sort to tar you all together, this is potential dynamite, and to ignore it (rather than bookmark it), would be a tragedy.
What interests me is, these newbies on your board make a couple of posts there and suddenly think right time to go and make an idiot of myself on the Mackems board. Is it something you are making the newbies drink? As most of the Mag supporters that turn up here to talk football sometimes make sense.
I keep hearing how Mackems supposedly said "Thatll be an easy six points!". Id like to know who said this, and when, or whether it is infact, as I suspect, just Newcastle fans with an enormous chip on their shoulder after coming back up inventing a statement, sticking quotation marks around it and calling that a quote. They should seriously consider a career with the Daily Mirror.
Think the OP was being a bit more tongue in cheek than we're giving him credit for. Anyone who fancies a win against the Arse with a rebuilt side is either thick or taking the piss...
People did say it sadly mate, i remember palming my head in bewilderment reading it. None of the regulars, fortunately, so it doesn't mean much when they fetch it up.
mackems... just before you get ahead of yourselves insulting this guy he didn't actually post it, he left his laptop on and his brother did it :L ive just been told by him just thought id let you know haha
Blimey even Howeynufc has the generic quote in his siggy. Im guessing now no-one probably said that statement, but its supposed to "capture the feeling about Newcastle by Sunderland fans of the time". Nice and philosophical there. Or trying to romanticise the derby win even more-so
