    Whilst Sky, BBC and ITV regurgitate the same stories, Channel 4 trumps them all with a superb report of a stand-off in Crimea.

    It'll be repeated on +1 and it's well worth watching.

    Channel 4 always go big on any 'exclusive' because they've not got many reporters. I do like their news though.

    Quite clever of the Russkies to send forward those 'shady' militia types to front up the Ukraine chaps. Media savvy if nowt else.

    Something about C4 news that drains my attention. It’s earnest enough but even the theme has a Sunday feel about it.

    All round though, it’s a ****ing **** channel these days – used to be good.

    For the TV news, when I do watch it, I still use the BBC variants but also like a few foreign slices: Russia Today and Al Jazzeera, for different perspectives naturally.
