Take put the cost of buying the stadium and its been massively reduced But thank **** were in the prem next year
Absolutely Proud it has come at a wonderful time. Dont we get something silly like 100 million for getting promotion?
Financially we can't afford to be in the championship any longer. We can't expect the owners to keep bankrolling the club like this and with FFP we don't want to hang around any longer
Yep, the new TV deals which came in last season have rocketed the winnings to at least £120 million. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-extra-120m-win-promotion-Premier-League.html And remember, we finished second - no idea what Cardiff got.
This is the money table for this season: please log in to view this image The only one that might change is the 'Live TV Fee', as there is no knowing how often you are on. I think the money there is an average.
That is interesting. I remember when we went down last that there was a £500k difference between the above and below finishing positions. Now it's over a million per place. Even finishing rock bottom with earn you nearly £63m!
It looks like a lot of money doesn't it, but it soon gets eaten away every time the squad gets strengthened. Unless you are in the top bracket and playing CL football, it's still a nightmare to try an compete, as the really big teams simply price the smaller teams out of the market. The only good thing is if relegation happens, then there is a huge advantage over the Championship clubs that have not seen the benefit, so perhaps an almost immediate return is achievable (no guarantee mind)
The prem is 5 lges in 1. In the champ´ship it´s only interesting/good if you are in the top 6. The rest of football is suffering in ´no mans land´very badly indeed in terms of finance, attendance, TV rights & standard of football.
