I was the World Cup final the year before, but I think this game gave me more pleasure.

Born in '66, but Mark Lazarus was a close friend of my father's, so I grew up with him about at the golf course and snooker hall.

This is still the greatest day in our history of course and always will be for a then 10 year old boy sitting high on the Wembley seats but directly alongside the goal at which all the action happened.

At one stage the commentator announces that that Mike Keen had not missed a single competitive game of any description for four straight years. Contrast and compare with our current crop of players.

I was born in '69 so missed this - some of you are truly showing your age with your memories of this glorious day - I am jealous! My only cup final memories are all defeats <wah><wah><wah>

Hopefully our current crop can give us something to remember at the end of this season with a play-off final victory (I've almost given up on an automatic place)

I was only 12 at the time and my mum wouldn't let me go as my dad was working and it was on the tv. It is still the greatest day in our history and Keen and the boys are rightly revered legends and always will be...

I was 13 and that 1966-67 season was my first following the R's with my Dad, and he took me to a few games and it was a wonderful introduction culminating in the League Cup Final win and promotion from Division Three as champions.

I remember us both huddled around the radio in the evening listening to the earlier League Cup rounds against Leicester, Carlisle, Birmingham (2 legs) and we were both amazed at the come from behind Final victory at Wembley after having such sad faces at half-time.

Our only disappointment was the trip to Oxford United for the final game of that season, and typically Rangers we lost, so like our Leeds finale in our 2010-11 champions season.
