Martin Olsson misses International duty this week after aggravating a shoulder injury at Villa Park that will require surgery at the end of the SEASON
Garrido then! Is he out for the rest of the season then? It doesn't really say? Or can it be managed until the end of the season?
I got the impression that its been know about for a while and it was considered that it is not worth him playing a meaningless midweek game. If he was done for the season he'd be having surgery now.
Swedish press are reporting that he will miss three Swedish internationals so that he can complete the season for us and then have surgery. I wonder if Olsson is a candidate for POTY, in a season that has few deserving candidates? Certainly LB is one of the few positions that doesn't seem to provoke much discussion about who should be on the team-sheet.
I'd say after Howson got injured he's been the POTS for me. Consistent going forwards and backwards and the number of shot blocks he's had this season has been incredible.
Probably not worthy of a separate thread, and this is player related Charlie adam has been charged with violent conduct for a stamp on Giroud so may well miss the game on sat. Bad luck for him (haven't seen the challenge) but good for ncfc
Nasty little post-tackle tread on the calf. Good news indeed. Having said that, I thought Tettey was VERY lucky at Villa - I guess the booking has saved him from further disciplinary review.
Tettey should of walked for that. Awful challenge, have you seen the pictures on his stud marks on twitter? Ouch!
He didn't mean it at all, but yes, I agree it was an awful challenge and I would not have complained if he had walked.
Hopefully this is a "Fergie - Giggs" way of avoiding a tiring journey and he'll be magically fit versus Stoke!
PotS candidates so far for me (phew, it's difficult to single anyone out eh!?): Olsson Johnson Fer (??) Probably Olsson overall.
