Stoke midfielder Charlie Adams has been charged with violent conduct over stamping in last weekends win over Arsenal.
If it goes to appeal and is up held he'll face a three match ban starting against us this Saturday.
That's a welcome bonus if up held as he has been in decent form of late and could definitely have an impact on Stokes fight against the drop.

When did one of these appeals succeed? It's possible if a ref gets it wrong in the heat of a game but I think that with one of these retrospective video charges there is no chance.

I agree it's unlikely to get overturned but I suppose they have to go through the "correct" process?

Hate to be a pedant (I don't hate it really in this particular instance) but if you're going to create a thread about Charlie Adam then at least get his name right <doh>

    (there, is that better?)

Munky using one of those (dreaded) slaphead symbols is like "You know when you've been Tango'd" with that horrible orange man! <laugh>

I really don't know why it offends some people so much, I really don't. It's a little yellow emoticon used to indicate when I think somebody has said something wholly ridiculous and indefensible, heck I use it on myself enough times whenever I say something dumb.

Surely it's more diplomatic than swearing or calling someone an "idiot" or such like isn't it? Believe me that's what I'm actually thinking when I read some of the tripe that I do on here <ok>

With you 100% there Munky, the only person I know that gets really upset by it is carrabuh, since I've come to understand carrabuh and realise most of what he says is intentionally provocative in order to stimulate debate, I don't use it on him!

Nice little bonus for us. He seems to be the main man in their team at the moment.

Harry the wheeler dealer calls him Charlie Adams and it makes me furious. He's so overrated as a football manager it hurts. I could rant for days as to why but I won't bore you all.

Good news that he has been banned and fair enough in my book. Has carried a goal threat for them as of late.
