"But I was disappointed about the first goal that was clearly offside and if we could have gone into half-time level that would have helped, but they scored an early goal in the second half and that had their tails up.
"Then really it was a question of making sure we came away from here with not a massive defeat and I suppose I've got to be happy with 3-0."

V-a-V: We all know that you want Lord Powell out, but what would you expect to happen after he got the sack? Not what would you like to happen, what WILL happen?

There was a plethora of unacceptable comments aired today from the BBC report, that will actually dictate our fortunes... Powell's comments pale into insignificance compared...

I think Powell will be the last traditional manager we'll see under Roley... Many fans are going to get their wish. I just hope they all accept the consequences, because the next manager is going to be nothing more than a puppet on a string...

How many managers, that most of us admire, would work under his ridiculous vision..?

I saw a clip of the Liege fans demonstrating against Roland when he started selling off their best players. He listened to them and he might listened to us as well if we take the same sort of action if he follows the route he appears to be setting us on. The signing of Tudgay seems to be the only positive move that Lord Powell has been allowed to make since Roland took over. I've been giving Roland the benefit of the doubt so far, but hearing Liege's Academy coach was a shocker, Roland needs to come clean about his intentions.

Our club is fooked. Season ticket sales will drop alarmingly. Next season's squad will be stuffed with stocking-fillers. Cousins and Poyet will leave. CP will be long gone.

Watching the Mendonca Play Off Final on Sky yesterday really hit home how far we have sunk.

I think it remains to be seen how positive it was. My immediate reaction was that we had signed a complete crock. I was pleasantly surprised by his 25 minute cameo against QPR, but it remains to be seen whether he can reproduce that in successive matches or for more than 25 minutes. Adjarevic looks good for 30 minutes but not a lot longer than that, and anyway I suppose his signing cannot be counted as a "move that Lord Powell has been allowed to make".

He also called himself a "shareholder" in that BBC report..?

Putting aside the link we now have with a job lot of clubs from Europe, is it possible other investors are involved..?

When I saw this thread and who had started it I genuinly thought it was to apologise to all the supporters of Charlton you have ailianated. Then I opened it & saw the same old anti Powell rant. Please give it a rest, your now becoming an embarrassment. Much the same as you think Powell is, before you post it AGAIN.

I thought you covered this yesterday volly. Does it really need a seperate thread? Basically being happy we lost 3-0 is rubbish, but you are taking it out of context. He was happy they did'nt get four or five, which given our season, is'nt beyond the bounds of possibility.

I thought for half a second it might be an apology. Find it very odd the title is worded to look like an apology, only to be yet more of the same once again. I sincerely hope that those of you who i know are also fed up with all of this do not end up put off posting completely. It is not a coincidence that several people post a lot less than they used to. I have been annoyed in the past but that last thread has pushed it way too far.

I come here to talk Charlton, exchange views on topics and just general chat with other Charlton fans. I do not come on here to read endless drivel aimed at driving a wedge between people. People have run out of patience

Is strange that this thread has been started as could have been kept to the Match Thread quite easily

Either way lets try and keep this one on topic and Charlton related rather than going on to offend people... As this is a forum its important to respect everyone's views and opinions at the end of the day

A4L, not when those views include very offensive comments about sections of supporters based on the location of their seat, that are very offensive to me for the reasons i gave previously. As for keeping on topic, this thread looks very much like a middle finger to those who were expecting a much deserved apology.

What baffles me is that this was a nation where leadership meant something, this nation gave us Thatcher, Nelson, Churchill, Cowell and what do we have? Lord Eunuch Powell who would pull down his pants for fear of soiling himself should a real challenge rear it's head.

I think vols post a fair critique of the man that has all the leadership qualities of a spoon but then the banter monitors came out and once agin the point is lost....

It could have gone in the match thread

It could have gone on any one of his many Powell Out threads.

Or, as it was included and discussed already in yesterday's "Murder everyone in the West Stand and I am incapable of controlling my temper" thread, there was no need to start another thread about the same thing.

But did anyone answer it? Or did it get lost in other matters? I want to know what possesses a manager to make such a defeatist comment at such an important part of of the season?

Why couldn't powell headbutt someone instead of arsekissing?

The more it goes on I think it's just one big wind up to be honest so I wouldn't get too upset people.. Don't take it personally.
