Why does this little island on the western edge of Europe produce such great sporting heroes? You only need to look at the golf right now and see Irelands proud son Rory McIlroy looking down the leaderboard at his rivals on a record score. Irelands sporting superheroes arent just confined to golf , oh no we've had great cyclists Sean Kelly and Stephen Roche. Great boxing champions Barry McGuigan, Steve Collins, Wayne McCullough, Katie Taylor, Michael Gomez to name but a few and football we've produced some of the worlds best Roy Keane, Liam Brady , Johnny Giles, Paul McGrath , Shay Given, Neil Lennon, George Best and a langer load more. Even the noble sport of swimming Michelle Smith 4 olympic golds, athletics Sonia O'Sullivan, Derval O'Rourke. Horse racing christ us Irish own it. Ronan O'Gara, Brian O'Driscoll just two of many Rugby heroes. The two Eddies Irvine and Jordan , our cricketers. Ken Doherty, Alex Higgins, Dennis Taylor heroes all. When i think about this there will obviously be millions more names to add to this. So why does the 'The Emerald Isle' produce so many sporting legends including Cuchulainn a great hurler in his day
An Neil Lennon was ****.. He wasnt good enough to clean Roy keanes boots.. You are also missing that Ireland's contribution to music should really warrant dropping a few nukes on the place... U2 = ****s Boyzone = massive ****s Westlife = biggest ****s ever Louis Walsh = ****
Make your own thread on the ****e music if you like. This thread is purely on the enigma of a small island punching way above its weight in terms of producing sporting greats
You should re edit really neil Lennon should NOT be mentioned alongside keano and Georgie best. Loved Paul McGrath too when I was a kid... Would be interesting to see how good he could have been if he played sober
i never said you cant talk about housing did i ? i asked where in this thread with 'sporting' in the title does it mention houses , make a thread about houses if you want to it is general chat as you say <geebag>
Hash I mentioned Rory when the Masters was on and you hadn't even heard of him! TSKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
