We'll have the same problem as the Brighton replay due to Champs Lge fixtures Unless the re-arranged West Ham game is put back and it's played March 26th. Can someone confirm if this UEFA ruling applies only if it's a televised game or is it any game involving a top flight club ? Reason I ask is that if our QF does need a replay then Sunderland will be running out of 'free' mid-weeks to arrange games.
As the semi's are not until the weekend of 12th and 13th April it could well be late march or early april before a replay. Think positive though. No replay. Lol.
If all the plastics who have already tried to get tickets come back from tuesday then Yes it should be. But what is a sell out thesedays ? Angers me to see so many empty seats in the north stand.
Suppose we'll know by the time we come to play if this can be the case with two quarters before us. What I do know is we were the last pick of the four ties with BT and ITV choosing the other three first.
That's because that was a third round game (we were a replay). Sheff Wed Vs Charlton would have needed to have been picked originally to be shown when rearranged . As it wasn't, the rearranged fixture couldn't be picked for TV. Last round ITV showed two games and BT showed three. They were both contracted to one replay each but as they was only one replay overall, only ITV showed a game.
Probably yeah as ITV will still be on air and BT will be coming on air for their second match. What's quite ridiculous is three games on the Sunday and only one on the saturday.
