Not in my humble opinion, and also I believe the only reason Amistad never won best movie is because Speileberg directed it. He was not popular with the Oscars commitee at that time.
Everyone I know who's watched 12 Years A Slave say it's brilliant. Stick to ****ey WW2 war movies Dev.
Everyone know the only sure-fire way to win an Oscar for acting is to play a gay black disabled slave with a learning disability. Preferably while gaining/losing a stupid amount of weight and doing an accent that's not your own.
That was a pish film yet again highlighting that America wins everything on it's own. ****in americans lap it up, idiots.
Really. Had I bothered looking it up I would have seen that but I didn't because quite frankly I couldn't give a monkeys.
Not yet. Apparently the movie doesn't show anywhere near the brutality that was in the book. It was watered down.
He didn't win one himself but I believe the original version of the Jazz Singer did win one (not the Neil Diamond re-make) please log in to view this image
