Completely counter productive for me. I don't think he was excluded from being England captain for being black and I don't think he's helping to address any notion of discrimination with these comments, quite the opposite in fact. Especially given that Paul Ince was Captain for a period during the time Campbell played for England. Pretty poor from Campbell in my opinion.
Because this is a Arsenal football forum, this is a topical issue and Campbell is an ex Arsenal player.
We all know he just has a book to sell. Why are we dignifying his claims with an attempt at discussion?
Of course they're poor. He's only trying to get attention in order to sell his book. Attention which you're giving him. That's poor.
Oh come now. No need to throw that around just because I don't see the point in helping attention whores sell books. There's no story here. Place more value in your own opinion mate, it's better spent on things which matter.
I'm going to buy one too. I wasn't going to until Murray made x4 comments complaining that people shouldn't be talking about it, giving him attention or confirming that there are better things to spend time on. Thanks for the tip-off
I'll wait for the updated version of this bestseller. Surely no self respecting authorised account of the life of Sol Campbell is complete without a chapter on his struggles with his sexuality & filling the void created by the end of his professional footballing career. Hang on a minute......
