There is nothing to indicate he won't be. He is probably just not going to get the chance to bore us to death with his drivel on sportstalk. He can leave this in the capable hands of others, the other presenters are just as bad. The programme has become shocking but must have improved marginally with the removal of Burns who is a major oaf. IMO.
I gave up on Sportstalk months ago, apart from most of the content being about teams I have no interest in, Golum Lloyd makes me want to kill people.
Don't dislike the bloke myself and you lads slag him off regards less of whether he is right or not such as city on the brink of administration (which turned out to be true) and more recently people laughed when he said we would sign Dele adebola which looks also true. I suspect hes been given a regular daytime slot more based on the fact he is sports editor and probably on a decent wage compared to other presenters and they want to get better value for money from him. due to the BBC cuts
Burnsy is alright. He comes in for a lot of unnecessary flack. It is his job to report on sporting stories, right or wrong. You'd be pissed if things at City were happening and not getting reported at all.
At least when Burnsie is on the talk turns to City, all the other presenters are interested only in rugby.
David Burns is a Top Bloke, The Majority of the City think he is a really great guy and it's no coincidence that the Shambles on KCFM never took off, the Noisy Minority give him a lot of stick but if you are reading this Mr Burns I have very much enjoyed listening to you over the years, I find you to be an excellent sports reporter. A little bias maybe but as a Hull fan I don't care. Long may you continue to be the Saturday afternoon voice of HULL CITY AFC.

It's not just City fans despise the salad dodger, I work with a Grimsby fan - now they really don't like him. If he reported rather than guessed, speculated or simply made stuff up he may be able to claim to be a reporter.
He said tonight that he is not the sports editor anymore but he will carry on the saturday sport.I think his time was up while he was in charge i think all the hull clubs had at one point stopped talking to humberside and for a local radio station thats not good. Also think that he knew a lot more that was going on at the club
The good thing about the close season is that I never have to listen to Burns and his sidekick, not even once!
