It's too late to sack Hughton now! The die has been cast for this season at any rate! If the board has a collective nervous breakdown and fires Hughton now, just who is going to come in with just ten games to go and turn things around? It would be a huge ask for anyone and would you be able to attract a top quality replacement who would be willing to gamble their professional reputation? Hughton is with you until the end of the season regardless. If the board were serious they would have acted in January but as things stand you are fast running out of time!
For sure, don't know why so many fans think there is a chance of him going now, must have been on some
Mate, there's no telling them, the results against City and Spurs are forgotten now, it's as if they never happened! This board has become a human behavior psychologist's wet dream!
We both know someone, not a million miles away, who would keep them up but that would be over my dead body!
Evening KIO! But if you were offered 4 points from City, Spurs, and Villa you'd have taken them, wouldn't you?
Agreed. As bad as we have been we are incredibly still not bottom 3 so sacking him may well make things worse.
It looks like you have no alternative but to buckle up and prepare for a bumpy old ride until the end of the season!
It hurts right now because it is lambert and holt etc..... But we are ok in the league at the minute. I do believe that there are 3 worse teams than us.
Funny when you think about it, your opinion of Hughton is almost identical to Spanish's opinion of your lover boy MM
Sadly true. Im sure it wont be a pretty or smooth ride for the rest of the season. If we were bottom by 4 points Id say go for it sack him and take the gamble, but with not many games to go and not in the bottom 3 it would be a huge risk. It may pay off but more likely to go wrong. On the plus side maybe the we will play you lot again next year whatever league it maybe ha. Its good to have both clubs in the same league, as long as we are top and you near the bottom.
It is a dangerous strategy in staying up by default! The positive is that your home form is pretty good and your destiny is very much in your own hands.
I just can't understand how a team can be so ruthless for 15 / 20 minutes - and then cave in totally like a house of cards. Where was all this 'unity' and 'togetherness' that Russell Martin spoke of in Friday's press conference?
JWM for Manager - he has fight, he likes football and wants his club to win - 'we love you Johnny we do'
I bought my tickets for Southampton on Monday, I'm seriously worried about what's in store down there !!
