When i looked at his twitter page it didnt say anything about Matt Derbyshire so he probaly deleted it after a telling off from Gally. All he seems to do is called Imogen Thomas a dog

We can do better than this can't we? Any ok player, but ok isn't going to get us up. We need to invest in a decent striker who can get us 20 goals (quote Alan Young today!)... I am not sure we'll go for Maynard, something tells me the club don't want to risk this. But if Howard and maybe Waghorn go then we'll need 3/4 new strikers! A lot going on down Filbert way, if Derbyshire is for the squad then fine, but no more. He couldn't even get a start for a crappy Birmingham team who don't score last season!!
Well I've got news for them, it will be much more risky to not get him. Players like Nugent and Derbyshire are OK but 3 or 4 of them is not as good as 20+ goals a season man like Maynard or the Yak. We need to fork out money at some point, £3.5 million aint that much. We won't get automatic promotion with these average/decent goalscorers. We need a proper goalscorer.

Why are the hate for Matt Derbyshire. A decent striker at this level. All because of his 2nd name people dont want him
I don't think there is a hate for Derbyshire, more the fact he is similar to Nugent if we get him and we need something different. We don't need a team of players who 'have yet to reach their potential' we need some that can make a difference now. If we get a 20 goal a season man then we will make life a lot easier for ourselves and not commenting every if we only had a proven goal scorer! You have to invest wisely, Sven has only spent £250k so far since he has been here but it is vital he splashes the cash on a decent forward and I would love him to go for Maynard. What a feel good factor that would be!
Looking at wiki he played 13 games for Brum last season, and scored ... zero goals ... get him in quailty signing ... ok maybe that was a bit sarcastic, but you never know, maybe he just needs time, and he'll score enough to get us up.

Well the 1st choice, as with most clubs, is slightly optimistic. Yak had good spiel about staying here, but the second he was out of Leicestersire, seems to have retracted that statement. Maynards up in the air Nugent, to me, was an unexpexted surprise (tbc) Derbyshire ... was a surprise ... (tbc) Naughton would be a butt load of money, which means that he may still be in Harrys long term plans, and its just a "back-off" figure, though i guess he will be loaned out next season somewhere too, so its always possible we could get him again on a season long loan, which wouldnt be the end of the world.
