we need an adebola type build and style player for an option, just not sure he was the best available at this stage of his career.....i cant really remeber seeing him play much after coventry about 5 years ago, but im reliably informed in the play off final he blazed over from 6 yards, so after mclean and folan, he should fit in well...

As has been probably said on the thread already, the club cant do much whilst Ghilas, Bullard and Mcshane are still on the books so we might have to brace ourself for some unspectacular signings whilst this carries on.

Isn't Dele Adebola the best Adebola type player there is? It's like earlier in the season, everybody was going "oh we need a Greening like player in the centre of the midfield."
"How about Jonathan Greening, he's pretty Greening like?"
    "Well I had heard that..."

meant, his build, his attributes when he could still run and shoot about 5 years ago...same as every team could do with a george best figure, but wouldnt pick him currently either...

Lol I know what you meant and I agree, we probably could have gotten somebody a little better in the technical department. I'm not aware of his ability with the ball at his feet. I was really hoping for Jon Parkin back - c'est la vie.

On the contrary, if he's not up to doing the job it would be better to save the money and persevere with 3 players that can't do the job than to sign him and have 4 players that can't do the job.

We need another 8 or 9 players to have good squad depth, but until we geet the 5 big money players off the books I'd rather we signed 4 or 5 good players and used kids to pad the squad than sign 8 or 9 players that aren't up to it.
