    First 15mins, pretty even game..
We Score and game sort of when a bit flat for 10mins or so, Southampton from 25mins were then all over us like a Rash, they played some great stuff and had us on the back foot.
Came out and played well enough for the first 5mins of the second half.
We start believing in ourselves a bit more, start playing out from the back (had they started to tire?)
We score the second, after that it was pretty straight forward, can't remember them having too many (if any) decent chances.
With them chasing the game, they were always going to leave themselves open to the counter, one-on-one with Luis was always going to lead to trouble.
May not have been a 3-0 game but we took our chances.
Very happy with the results (no ****!) Southampton was by far the toughest away game we had left on our fixtures list.

Must add, Lalana, what a phucking player! Shaw, yes please.. Schniederlin (spelling?), you too!

I think a lot of clubs will drop points at Southampton. this result is a big one for us.

But with sunderland off its utd away next.

If we win there.... oh boy.

Today's game was theoretically trickier than Utd, though they'll no doubt be up for it. I just hope we are as well.

Especially when he hangs his leg out to win a penalty. Really, 2-0 up with 30 seconds to go, was there any need for it?

Southampton play far better football than United at the moment, i would say this was one of your three hardest games to the end of the season and you won it with a degree of comfort.

Please watch it with no bias, it made no difference to the result but i just thought it was not very sporting.

Watch it again without the red specs, the gap is now a chasm and is no longer relevant.

If you "see" it again.. please note the reaction of the Southampton players, esp. Jose Fonte, he knew he impeded Luis and that it was a def. pen.
Regardless of the result at the time, if you thought a Pen was wrongly given the players (I would) have kicked up more of a fuss...

i had to laugh at the commentator who said flanno got lucky, funny he didn't make an issue of the luis pen though, so must have been a blatant one.

Wow! What a result lads! Absolutely buzzin!! Soton are no mugs, especially at home and we won 3-0.

Personally, I think the scoreline doesn't really reflect the performance and Soton deserved more. First half was really poor and we struggled to get going. But as soon Sterling came on, we began to control.

Honestly, still cannt believe we won 3-0 against Soton. They are such a strong team and I feared we would drop points.

In the past 4 games, we have seen this team show character, fighting until the last minute but more important, we are actually capitalising on our rivals dropping points. We're now second in the league lads and I know Man City are likely to go ahead but Arsenal have a horrible fixture list coming up and 3rd place is on the cards ...

Dare we dream of the title - with our attack, anything is possible.
