finally noticed that i called everton also rans on 60 points.... they've 12 points to go (4 wins) out of 11. so while it was a joke they could push on for lets 60s still.

Why can i not see the charts its just three dots?

Blocked by what yhough as I can only see the dots and not the charts too? Bizarre.

 

i get it sometimes on a vpn connection. if you are in work that can be the reason. I was on a VPN this morning and saw 3 dots then logged out and the plain internet worked.

sometimes its gerrez moving the pics to OP too.

 

I never move them, I only ever duplicate

 

so it might be proxy or vpn or something blocking images in the computer

 

Its been mentioned a few times on the mod board as it happens all over the site. Usually, the pictures just re-appear later on.

Never had problem before and nothing altered in house, and really cant get them to appear

We have the highest and the lowest points totals

 

The other two (67 & 68) are the average (67.6) too.

 

We #dominate the statistical spectrum

great graph.

If you did the same by year rather than club you'd see the trend of 70 more clearly with the few outlying years.

also putting context on this would take some work by by year if 4th place was 76 points with us, 5th was still miles behind that at 65 points and was everton.

that would be mildly interesting to do.

the closer the 4th and 5th i think the higher the total for 4th.


also the lowest total of 60 was 03/04 and it was newcastle and villa on 56 points behind us. that year relegation was 33 points and everton got 39 just above relegation. AND this was arsenals last title and invincible year....

So i think the season was not so good generally and lacked competition.

I am sort of looking for the big gaps between the 4th and 5th but really what i have seen after going and doing it is that a smal l trend may be in evidence of increase in points for 4th and 5th over the ten years and the gap between 4th and 5th seems actually constant on the trend lines.

The scale of the graph and such can make this look exaggerated however as we are talking 64 to 73 points

It could actually be reasonable to sy in 5 years time that 75 points is the mimimum required for example.

you can see that in 2003/04 we got 60 and the year after we played cl and got the big win and that season (evertons best) was in fact more to do with NOBODY being in a position to go for 4th and them basically falling over the line

In short... more competition since so from 2005 the trend is more around 70 than lower.

It is interesting to note that last year was one of the rare occasions 5th went to a side with more than 65 points. (
