What a ****ing Geezer. Mucho respecto for not going down like a sack of ****. Just shows that footballers aren't soft as ****e, they're just a bunch of pathetic play actors. Not Mayler, He took it like a fan in the stand would. If every player had Mayler's character the integrity of the sport would be very much still in tact. It's a sport played by men, about time they started acting like it. David Meyler Man please log in to view this image Woman please log in to view this image
What kind of state is the sport in when we have to applaud someone for not rolling around clutching their face pretending their face is smashed to pieces. Bruce applauded him as well for not play acting in the post match interview.
Couldn't get a ticket and couldn't afford club Wembley seats. I'll be at the stadium of light tomorrow to watch the match.
You're right fella, it's madness but that's how the sports gone. If the Fa and refs had a propper clamp down then maybe football can scrape some integrity back.
Kern Lyhne, a Danish footballer. First time I've seen when looking for an example, It's the most extreme I've ever seen so couldn't resist.
Chico Flores got rewarded for his antics against West Ham. Bradley Johnson actually managed to get his red card overturned for squaring up with Remy (both were harshly sent off in a nothing incident) presumably because he played the victim by rolling around. Until this changes players will keep doing it.
Yea it is one of the reasons that it gets **** but really not that much anymore. When I was a kid my highschool didnt even have a mens soccer team only a girls one. I think they have one now though.
Cheers fella, appreciate that. Anyway, I'm off, 1 more sleep, how I'm going to sleep god only knows. Till next week
31,000, we've only got around 26,000 season ticket holders yet it never went to general sale, very suspicious but nowt I can do.
To be fair, the US women's National football team was the best in the world for a while. The men are making decent strides into the game.
Our women are pretty good. It was probably the biggest womens sport when I was a kid. Our men get drawn into football, baseball, and basketball (then lacrosse and hockey in some places) so the pool of available men players is far smaller than our population would indicate. It really is changing pretty quickly. I could really notice the change after we hosted the world cup. The sport does still get a lot of **** for not being physical enough and for people faking injuries. I think that we could be a force in international competitions in 20 years or so.
