No. I watched it the first time, Ramirez was poor. Why not, some of comments on here need patronising.
21/25 passes completed. 84%. 3/4 occasions where he took someone on he beat them. Care to apologise, or are you too bloody arrogant to admit when you're wrong. He wasn't exceptional, but he certainly wasn't crap, and he looked the player most likely to make something happen in the second half, because he was at least trying something different........
Oh, by the way, he made more tackles in the game than Lallana who plays in a similar position and style. But don't let inconvenient things like facts get in the way of your biased 'analysis' will you.......
I don't agree with CBK that Ramirez was crap but I don't know how anyone could think he was outstanding. I think he was brought on as an attempt to add some goal threat that Davis lacks and did well but wasn't outstanding.
Here we go again, some made up stats. Only stat that matters in football is the ****ing score. I couldn't give a **** what some deadinside statitician decided was a complete or incomplete pass, I've seen thousands of games of football in person and I can tell when a player is good or poor.
I don't think anyone is saying he was outstanding. He just wasn't "crap" and actually looked the most threatening of our players in the second half. That is if you weren't looking through CBK's rather odd specs.
Lack of confidence presumably and a concern about being misunderstood. But if you want proof here he is speaking English last summer.
Your arrogance in the face of actually what happened really knows no bounds, does it. How very sad and constricted you are. Constipated with self-regard.
Because he doesn't want to use the wrong word at the wrong time and have the media pounce on it, something that has happened with a good many foreign managers. By all accounts he speaks perfectly comprehensible English with the players, but prefers to use a translator for interviews (though if you watch the interviews, it's fairly obvious that he understands the questions, as he has a tendency to start answering them long before David Salas provides a translation). No, still 0-2, as he will not be recruiting the management team, either. His role appears to be as a liaison between management and our owner.
Wow. That is good. I've been trying to think of some way of describing how CBK's groundless bile and spleen makes me feel, and that just about sums it up. Thank you.
Well that's not bad, but the level he is at there is pretty basic, so I can understand your point. However, it's 5 or 6 months from then (or longer?) so you would expect by now that he would have made a marked improvement, which he hasn't. My point was that around the time NC handed his notice in, which was quite some time ago now, may have been the same day MP stopped going to evening classes. If he does stay next season, he seems like a good guy, feel free to come and heckle me roundly, I won't mind
How do you know that he hasn't improved? Ye gods, this is a bit embarrassing. It's on par with a Saints fan (or worse, a mod) going to your boards and laughing that you're going down coz that 10 point deduction is going to be applied any day now.
Hey I got an extra bit did you delete it? He hasn't improved because he still doesn't speak English in interviews, I thought that was obvious, sorry.
Actually, I don't agree. In the second half, Ramirez was the best forward player we had, as Lallana had been shut down, and Rodriguez, Lambert, and then Gallagher, were rendered impotent. Gaston was our only threat. He may not have been good enough, but he certainly doesn't deserve the abuse you are dishing out to him.
