Spot on Vin. I think we're all pretty much in agreement for once. We're just finding other stuff to argue about!

Watched up until the 70minute. You played some lovely football, didn't deserve to be 2 down.

Well I had to go down the pub and drink lots of Spitfire after the game so sorry for coming on here a bit late for the post-mortem. Reading through the thread, I'm pleasantly surprised at the lack of meltdown so far. As someone else said, that was the best 3-0 defeat I've ever seen. The first goal was unlucky, and if anyone was to blame, it wasn't the defence but Lallana for kicking the ball against Fonte's leg. After that it was all Saints for the rest of the first half, and we should, with a decent finisher, have been ahead at half time. Ramirez made a difference in the second half but Lallana had been neutralised by then, so it wasn't much of an advantage, and the game was over when they got their second. Maybe we should consider starting Ramirez, and bringing Davis on when we are 3-0 up?

All in all, hey ho, ho hum, roll on the summer transfer window and a decent fox in the box goal poacher to make use of the plethora of chances which our superb midfield create. Javier Hernandez, Danny Ings, I don't care, just bloody buy them for ****'s sake.

Anyone notice how static shcneiderlin has become on the ball? He seems more insistent on spraying the ball sideways than carrying the ball forward, like cork does. I seem to remember last season he made many more forward runs and produced goals/assists for his hard work. Just a thought.

On the whole, dissapointing, a bit unlucky, but outclassed by a team who should win the title in my eyes. Bounce back against palce pleaseeeeee

Unlucky today lads. You're a good side, Lallana is a tricky player with some nice skills. You want to play the game in a dynamic, technical way, like us, but you don't have the same quality in your team at the moment or the attacking threat that we carry, hence we scored three out of all our chances and you didn't get anything (sorry, not meant as an insult). Good luck for the rest of the season, please finish above Utd. Thankyou. Always had a strange soft spot for Southampton because I always used to get a disproportionate amount of your players in sticker packs.

It was the last 20-30 minutes where Liverpool started to control the game and we started to look unorganised.

That pretty much sums up my feelings. First 15mins we were scared and so so many first touches went awry. Lambert, as we know no longer an out and out striker, still seems out of sorts. Quite a few passes but you wonder if this is good bye.

Ramirez: I wasn't his greatest fan, but have to say the last two performances he's been superb...who showed him the light?

Need to get that balance between results and performance...but hasn't that been the argument between Arsenal and Chelsea?

We were just weak and have been all season, today showed it.

Only wanted to see ManCity or Arse take the title...but will say Liverpool also play football. (My dig is atChelsea as they are plainly not nice to watch)

Not my place to say and I'm not trying to be nasty, as those of you who know me well realise, but it looks to me like Southampton are treading water until season's end. MP is more than likely leaving, he knew that NC was leaving the day (3 months ago, or whenever it was) he handed his notice in. He hasn't bothered to learn even the most rudimentary English, which is probably the biggest pointer that his future lies abroad.

No doubt negotiations are already in place and Krueger is on a quest to assemble his dream team. Lambert's legs seem to have lost a bit this year and can he sustain the pace of the PL for another year? But having said that he has to be one of the best signings, certainly by Southampton and perhaps any club pound for pound in the last five years, even the most rabid Pompey Ultra would secretly admit it.

And that's the biggest pointer that you don't really know what you're talking about in this instance.

Good god, people. If you're going to make comments, at least try to understand the least thing about what you're talking about here. Pochettino does speak English. He just doesn't do interviews in English. And Kreuger is not going to be making transfers, he's just a board member.

I think we have lost our confidence in front of goal, but we are still playing well. We need a gee up...hoping the international break will do it. Perhaps a bit more fire walking is needed. Lambert owes us nothing...he has repaid every penny paid and more, but every Saints fan wants the best for him. Hope he finds a bit more form and goes to Brazil. Still think Mauricio is staying. He does speak English...the press know this because he talks to them individually and corrects his interpreter...he just likes to give serious answers and he lacks confidence in front of numbers of people as opposed to one on one conversations.

Sorry bollocks on the reasoning but maybe not on the result of your reasoning. His English is better than many from the East end of the M27.

As for treading water...well, we've already done the business. So why not break in youngsters for next season or season after next...

Quite right. Kreuger would never set himself up as a football coach and has said recently that Mauricio needs space and he will give it to him.

    YOU WHAT!?!?

He was crap today. Lost the ball nearly everytime he had it. He tackles like tissue paper and gets knocked off the ball just as easily.

Apart from the occasions where he beat players and passed to other Southampton colleagues right?

He's bloody ordinary, but I guess he appeals to those who...

    a) Like ordinary things
    b) Know **** all about football

    b) Don't be so bloody patronising. You're better than that.

Well if he does speak it, which I'll admit I didn't know, why doesn't he do interviews in English then, it can't be that good can it? He's had long enough to learn it.

And my point about Krueger, (that's how you spell it by the way) was about him finding a new management team not players, so 1-1 so far.
