I say, Sir. I have never mentioned anything about Giggs' personal life other than a whimsical effort wondering where he got the energy from. I don't think it's relevant and I don't care, tbh. However, diving is a football matter and a legitimate subject for a thread ( although the thread title is perhaps a little inflammatory). Diving and abusing the officials are amongst the worst traits of the modern game and are present in all teams. Perhaps highlighting them may go some small way to stamping them out.
Saintanton. Man United fans constantly mention Gerrards alleged ''DJ Bashing''.I'm saying alleged, because he was acquitted. So if they are going to do that, then we're going to mention what Giggs did and what Rooney did.so basically what goes around..comes around.
Fair enough, KPR. From what I see fidelity is a pretty rare beast amongst public figures and I can't summon up any enthusiasm to get excited about it. Also, pointing the finger at people's personal behavior is a dangerous game ( unless you're a saint-like me ) Footballers are all individuals, some good, some bad, and we can't say that because they play for our team they are all paragons of virtue. As for the Mancs having a go at Stevie, I'd take the moral high ground let 'em get on with it- they'll only show themselves up in time. I still think this thread had a legitimate point to make about the on-field antics of someone who denies that sort of behavior- not because I'm making a moral judgement, but because I think it affects the game.
I was actually not that angry for the henry thing. Partly cause i'm not Irish, but watching the end of the game he actually looked disappointed in himself. Tbf if it meant i qualified for the world cup i'd do the same, which is why i didn't understand the ****storm with suarez in the world cup.
KPR says 'Gerrard never claimed to be an ''honest player that doesn't deliberately fall over' Gerrard says "I don't think theres anything worse than a player diving when no-ones been anywhere near him. I does ruin the game" Checkmate
I will never defend what he did, it was one of the worst instances of cheating in football. Things like that should not be condoned even if you idolise him like I do.
The title is explanatory. You could make Wayne Rooney Portrait of an overhead kick scorer or whatever you like, I chose this aspect of his game, not an insulting title at all. RVF you intentionally intent to wind someone up by regurgitating that off topic post of the video, you are fking hilarious mate. really! Pires, gimme a break, he invented kicking the keeper to win a penalty didn't he to help ye to an unbeaten season, by cheating. Nice, something to be proud of. As for Henry's handball, the fear of failure and the disgrace of failure after getting the seeding help from Platini may have been too much to not handball.
I have bever said I am proud of cheating. All I did was show how what KPR said was wrong. Didn't realise it was that annoying.
I didn't mean you were proud of it, I had meant Pires. Not annoying, its a Rooney thread, not wind up KPR repost gerrard videos thread thats all.
Might I add a few things to this video, I know I'll get flamed, but these are my honest opinions. In the first challenge shown, the no4 (whoever he is) is clearly thrusting his right arm out at Gerrard, this should be a foul every time. In the Portugal game there is definitely some contact between both players left feet, it may or may not be a foul (personally I think it is), but it makes sense that Gerrard tumbles. In the Marseilles game, he clearly steps on the keepers shorts making him slip, not a foul, but undertandable that he couldn't keep his to his feet. The other 2 bits of footage are clearly diving though, with the one against the bald keeper being as obvious a case of diving as you're ever likely to see.
Tit for tat realy. I don't like Rooney, he's a horrible role model and a classic modern day footballer. But Gerrard dives as well. I don't care about him giving someone a slap, he was know doubt getting abuse, so fair play. Would you just accept someone out an out mouthing you off? **** no.
It's sad to say, but football nowadays is a case of 'if you can't beat them, join them'. If you think you can get away with it - be it a dive, or a bit of shirt pulling (Skrtel)- then you're most likely going to do it. It's cheating, yes, but it's now unfortunately a big part of the game.
