Ok hes not world class and he isnt by far a big name however we have seriously needed him due to lots of player injuries in previous seasons, he is our main utility player and he comes in handy in defence, midfield and even goalkeeping, whats he worth to other clubs, £5 million odd? Keep him then, Wes Brown can go instead as he hardly plays.. Like i said i dont want him to stay because i think hes brilliant, hes just a player to have incase it goes tits up regarding injuries. Thoughts?
Great player to have around. Plays anywhere along the back four, we saw him at centre-mid last season and he's had a stint in goal. We also seem to be getting rid of a lot of players this year and it would be good to keep some of the experience around. We should keep him solely for the Liverpool and arsenal goals
Well, I think we should see him, seeing that Now Fabio and Rafael have come on the scene, O Shea won't get much playing time. Also he is 30, so there will be around 2 years left of him. With Rafael and Fabio I think we have enough cover.
He is earning a reported £80k per week(around £4m a year)x 3 years on his contract = £12m + transfer fee = £17m = De Gea. We have a lot of talented youngsters coming through who wont get games due to JOS`s versatility. Lets be honest, he is too slow, hes very poor in the air(just pushes strikers in the back and gives away free kicks in dangerous areas) and we pay him £4m a year to be poor to average in most of his appearances.Had he not looked so bloody good in his first 2 seasons, megging Figo and the winner in front of the Kop, he would get more stick than Gibson ever has. He has to be one of the best decorated journeymen of all time and good luck to him, he will leave with my gratitude for his service and commitment to the cause.
You have Smalling, Jones and Evans in the CB areas. You have Fabio and Rafael in the full back positions, with Jones and Smalling versatile enough to fill in if needed. You have others as well to fill in. Don't think you will miss O'Shea, he has been a great squad player for you but its time to move on.
Cant see Evans being a future squad player IMO, Oshea never complains about not getting on to play so thats the point i was making about him, good to keep him even if we have good defence already.
You cannot be as versatile as Sheasy is without being highly talented. Think how many people would love to be just as comfortable in the middle of the park as they are on the right or on the left. He is really underrated as a footballer and plenty of United fans don't appreciate how good he is- similarly underrating the technical ability of Park who merely praise him for his work ethic but completely miss the point of how good his positioning and movement is.
For such an stereotypically average journeyman type player to produce something that brilliant never ceases to amaze. I mean it wasn't a fluke! He actually meant to do it! It would be like Phil Neville scoring a bicycle kick from 30 yards out.
Yeah but that was just a good shot, for me the most impressive thing was the intent behind it. It was a piece of Brazilian magic from a player who is as far away from being Brazilian as you can get!
I wish i knew what was going through his head 'I bet i can chip him, i bet i can chip him...mmmm chips, wait why am i here?? Ah well, in for a penny in for a pound.... OH ****! Ah well time to wake up.... What do you mean i'm not dreaming!!!!'
