It's a weird emotional containment seeing the City fans going ballistic after a goal and you stand/sit in silence with the home fans.
The followingbehaviours are expressly forbidden: the throwing of any object; unauthorised entry onto the playing area; the use of threatening behaviour or racist, homophobic or foul and abusive language; persistent standing in a seated area; smoking in any area inside the stadium; attempting to enter the ground whilst drunk; possessing alcohol when entering the ground or in a part of the ground from which the event can be directly viewed entering a part of the ground reserved forsupporters of the opposing team
Keith Edwards missed a pen at 'our' end too...... If it's hard to contain jubilation, try jubilating when you miss a pen......
Stayed mute and affected an aggressive frown. May have permitted myself a half-hearted handclap when the 'Lions' scored.
I don't like it but if they are not causing any trouble whats is the problem? Perhaps if more home fans attended and snapped up the tickets this wouldn't occur? If the home fans made a bit more noise and actually supported the team the odd pockets of away fans in the home sections would not be noticed.
Yep and there were several City fans in their tiers below us at Newcastle this season, giving us thumbs up and kissing badges. But they could not have celebrated like the NUFC fans today without getting ejected. Would have been nice to see more City fans stay till the end today too.
Agree with that. The rush to get out of the ground really annoys me. It is becoming part of the match day ritual now and not just at City. Blokes sat behind me moaning at everything the second we go behind, and every week on 80 mins on the clock they are away. I never hear a word or shout of encouragement from them. Speaking to lads in the pub afterwards and it seems we have this type of 'supporters' all over the East Stand. Argument for is that they pay their money..............................doesn't wash with me.
Three of us got to a night match late in the 1980s at Millwall and we went in the Millwall end wearing suits. Although we didn't hide the fact we were City fans the Millwall fans were not too pleasant but less aggressive than we expected.
"We hung the concourse to the rafters with obvious heroes, such as Dean Windass – the scorer of the goal that first took them to the Premiership back in 2007." 2007?
I don't understand why no one simply uses their phone to: 1. Film the offensive fans in the wrong area 2. Film the warning signs about home areas 3. Film the stewards while someone calmly mentions the offensive fans Whole thing in one nice video. Post to YouTube, link to loads of sites, send link to club and demand action. Whining about it online every other week when its such a simple thing to actually make a proper protest about it is stupid.
Three of us went in the stand below the City fans at Newcastle in 2008-2009 but we kept quiet despite winning 2-1.
A good chant from City fans would embarrass the stewards and the club. How about (to the tune of we'll support you evermore) You're not supposed to You're not supposed to You're not supposed to be in there
The stewards do not give a monkeys- have you seen the state of them? The club should but doesn't. There appears to be no one at the club who actually supports the club in a football sense, has affiliations, loyalties etc Wealthy owners with no real understanding of football and a staff of paid employees, that's it. Apologies if I have omitted someone in the Accts dept or backroom offices who by chance supports us.
There was a time when some people use to love sneaking into home ends at away games.. or into the away end at BP.
Yes, but those actions had consequences you had to be prepared to take. Now at the KC away fans are protected by stewards and even our own fans are supportive, having a go at fans who object saying they have paid their money. Of course City fans going in away areas are liable to be ejected and the. Possibly have that clown Corcoran applying for a banning order. How come we get stern warnings about not buying tickets in home areas for away games and warnings about it being against ground regulations yet City and their employees turn a blind eye to it happening in their stadium? There is no connection with the fans by our club?
