Just seen the Arsenal score. Hopefully we win today so I can laugh at the Arsenal fans that were laughing at us in midweek claiming we were already out the title race

 

Lot of talk on the Pardew incident and whether he should be sacked from it.

It's interesting because you see players do it and they get a 3 game ban, but then should manager's suffer the same consequences or is this worse than when a player does it?

Personally think he'll get a 5 match touchline ban, a fine and that'll be it.

 

He should be made to stay at Newcastle for longer

 

Maybe make him manager United.. real punishment

You guys don't play for 2 weeks, wondering what you think of that? On paper 2 weeks off sounds good, but you guys are on fire at the moment and 2 weeks off may have a slight affect. But it's a big game VS United, either you thrash them, or it turns into a goal fest between both sides.

 

Actually, we are far from on fire as you say. We've played poor and scraped wins against Fulam and Swansea losing to you guys inbetween and then today Southampton were arguably the better side today too. We've been getting the points but far from playing superbly.

Not keen on a two week break though. Typically, we'll be a bit rusty come the game against Man Utd!

Good thing is though we should have Sakho & Lucas back so in theory a break will do us well to get the squad back to near full strength.

 

Any news on Enrique?

 

Although no one has said he's not out for the season I'd be very surprised if he was back in time to play any part. Last I saw was that he was back in America seeing a specialist as it's not recovered at the speed they thought he would.

Don't think there is an expected time back, seems to be just playing a waiting game.

 

You expect to go under pressure like you did today, it's just a matter of not falling apart. You guys still won it comfortably at the end, other than that tricky 20 minutes, but if you look at how many goals your scoring, you are on fire at the moment, even if they scored, so what? You know you can still score 2 or 3 or even 4 more.

But again, you could really thrash United with the defenders they have.

 

You never know against United. They're against the ropes which is very dangerous.

That game will be absolutely huge.

Dunno about that, I reckon Suarez and Sturridge are struggling to sleep thinking about how on earth they can get around Jones, Evans, Buttner and Evra...
Their highly mobile midfield will also make things difficult for the two of them to come deep for the ball too
