I heard Pardew admit it. Said he'd been out of order today, deeply regretted it, and had lost it a few other times recently, and would stay sat down in future. He hopes on the Bench, but he won't be getting near it I expect.

Perhaps the thread title with Pardue is actually a Freudian slip in appreciation of the French player influence at Newcastle? Based on the incident today, Pardew really is Perdu. Back in my grammar school days we had an assistant headmaster whose nickname was Purdy - it was only much later on an old-boys message thread that someone explained that this rather creepy guy (Mr. Cooksey), with slicked back grey hair, in his early teaching days used to look after the school lost property room, so perdu to Purdy.
Just watched it , all he had to do is stop the ball but he tried to waste two extra seconds. He's a total prick.
Quite simple really, just a play on words inspired by a typo - Lost (English) = Perdu (French) Deputy head at my old school who was responsible for Lost Property items had the nickname of Purdy from Perdu.
I would have found the whole thing quite funny had it not been so pathetic. When a not particularly intelligent man cannot keep his temper with another not particularly intelligent man over something as innocuous as that incident, then all they have to fall back on is pathetic alpha male stuff like we saw. It's the same old crap you find on the weekend in town centres the country over; not very bright chaps taking umbrage over the slightest things, with no other means of expressing themselves than threats and violence. Mr Pardew deserves to be either sacked or offered an improved contract; it's the way of things in football.
