Just wondering? I play at the FDC bowthorpe on Mondays and the UEA Thursdays. Squash on Tuesdays but that's a little different! Who else plays regularly and anyone who plays in a league? Or a pub etc.... Don't think it's been asked before. Sorry if it has.
Used to play back in eighteen hundred and frozen to death, Suffolk County Schoolboys, then Met Police then South London Sunday League, had a trial for Leicester, was invited to join but my first wife didn't want to leave London, so I turned them down!
Played until early 30's centre half till my injuries started to take there toll, I then moved to defensive midfield. Only reffing I've done was when the ref didn't turn up. Bah!
Play centre back in an ex-pat league here - only 8 a side, but still a good workout - playing in the heat takes its toll. Season ends soon and it might be my last - hitting two score this summer and the hamstrings just don't stretch as they used to. Have played in various ex-pat and local amateur leagues in Hong Kong, Nanjing, and Portugal. A journeyman amateur. Was in the school team all through the halcyon days at Blyth Jex. Was a lot of fun as we were the team to beat.
Used to play a lot, both saturday and sunday. One as a keeper the other outfield. Played for Uni and regional side for a while. Do coaching, generally with kids, but only really refereed kids games.
Play every Thursday night here in London. Never officiated footy at all, but I refereed some American Football games last year.
Before I reached the ripe old age of 34, I was playing 11-a-side every week and 5-a-side (indoor or outdoor) at least once a week, often twice! Alas, although reasonable fit and agile, injuries started to become a little too common for my liking, with pulled thigh muscles becoming too regular. I never played at an especially high level, and never really wanted to, but was absolutely lethal in a striking role in 5-a-side, and pretty competent in that role in 11-a-side, although I would invariably play wide right, if required to do so. I did have a short spell as a CB, and had a great partnership with one particular guy, but I always preferred the glory that comes with making the net bulge.
Finger injuries permitting, I do try and play subbuteo at least once a fortnight. Alas, at my age, that's all I can manage nowadays
