Rose was all over the place against Swansea, Tots. Decent going forward and he covered a lot of ground, but he made a fair few defensive mistakes and his final ball was poor.

Personally I don't think there's much between them. For sure Rose has more potential for improvement and perhaps offers a bit more going forward, whereas Benny is a bit better defensively imo. But they're both prone to drive you up the wall with their penchant for doing tricks and step overs at the wrong time!

This is why there isn't a great desire from all fans to bring Ekotto back as he really isn't anything special and no I'm not taking sides as neither is Rose, they are both suspect in a defensive sense but what Ekotto has over Rose is composure and superb ball control, while Rose has a greater engine and urgency to support the attack.

If Benny comes back, fine, but he isn't a great defender and if we're looking at another Left back I would rather we go out and sign someone of true quality that is needed.

I think Rose has been our poorest player in recent weeks. Credit to him he got the assist for the 3rd against Swansea but defensively he's been very suspect and lacked concentration on a number of occasions. He needs proper competition to keep him on his toes, Fryers is well and truly a back up, not an actual competitor for his position and so Rose knows he's more or less guaranteed a start each week.

Have to say with our Tottenham players. BAE hasn't put a foot wrong all season and would be up there for player of the season award (although probably behind Charlie Austin and Joey Barton) Tom Carroll has got it but not putting in consistent performances just yet so I think if I was unbiased I would say he should see the season out at LR as I don't think hes quite ready for Tottenhams 1st team. Ex player Nico Krancjar is getting better and more match fit each game and is a quality player and Jermaine Jenas has still got a role to play when he gets on. Having seen Kyle Walker and Andros Townsend playing for QPR in recent seasons and being a fan and regular visitor to the Lane (Spurs were my 2nd team when rangers were aways) in the days of Hoddle Archibald and Crooks im pleased there is still a big Tottenham influence at Loftus Road.

That's all Ekotto can do, carry on performing for QPR. But he's an experienced defender who's played at the top level so being one of your best players is the least you would expect. Chances are he will be available as Sherwood had a chance to recall him but prefers Rose and alternative backup although I suspect keeping Ekotto and Adebayor separated also played a part.

Niko was a favourite here for a while. One of them players who used to make an impact but never quite good enough to start games. Then he leaves and slags the club off!

Was surprised when he made those comments. He was well liked here as you said. Always produced when needed too, I remember him being the reason we comfortably beat City at the Lane a few years back with a brace in a 3-0 win, was a superb performance, his second goal was a beaut - rounding the defender and then megging the keeper.

Was likely frustrated as he was classy player but apart from a spell he had, overall there was something missing when he started games. Great impact player though.

I think it's BS, I let my guard slip and believed Sherwood was recalling Livermore but it's the usual twitter nonsense! Doesn't make sense to do this last minute when we had the entire window to sort out recalls.

Unfortunately for the fans that are slating him....... I think you're 'stuck' with him but in the coming years they will be saying 'look at Carroll, what a player, he was **** for us'!

Guys, after having a near punch up with one of our players on the pitch last week (second time that's happened with him, with two different players) and having let his performances go to sh*t after the January window closed, Ekotto has been dropped from the squad by Redknapp today.

I wouldn't be surprised if his time is up at QPR.

(P.S. Best of luck today against the Budgies <ok>)

Nothing will by the looks of it. Redknapp has lost it.

Carroll was dreadful yet again. I don't know why he persists with that lad because he's a very limited player who never ceases giving the ball away. Kranjcar's been poor for us too.

We seem to take supposedly decent players to the Club and promptly turn them to sh*t. Its the QPR curse.

Swords, this has already been discussed. When Carroll plays with talented players, he performs, it's not his thought QPR have players who make poor runs or have poor movement. Plus he hasn't even played many league games due to injury throughout his career so calling him limited doesn't tell the truth.

QPR overall, as you know, have been playing awful football and even as A Redknapp fan, he takes the blame solely, more then players like Carroll as Redknapp is failing you and Carroll. He's gone about things the wrong way and the main issue he has bill and Ben (Jordan and Bond) who offer nothing.

Redknapp needs to wise up, and move on from bond and Jordan as they hold him back. He's still got the ability to sort your season out but right now he's letting you down.

Assou-Ekotto fails to feature for QPR for the second game running. It appears that he's become Redknapp's latest fall guy, taking the blame for their loss to Reading.
Richard Dunne blasted him on the pitch that day and Redknapp's since backed his centre-half for doing so.
Not sure who Dunne's going to blame for giving Leeds a penalty (it was him) or the free-kick that QPR just conceded from (Assou-Ekotto's replacement Traore gave it away).

Carroll's on the bench and our old mate Chris Foy is the match official.

  17. Poor Benny, eh.

Not so much "disco" these days; more like Jive Bunny.

    Jive Benny, even.

Assou-Ekotto might be injured. The commentators are suggesting that's why he's out, though Redknapp's comments in the press during the week suggested he was dropped.

Boss, I know you love him, but you're not reading...he gives it away, nothing to do with his team-mates, and if they are substandard....so's his opponents in that league, and he's not lighting up anything atm. Can't tackle and can't score...just pass, so I agree with limited atm.
